My item was misidentified by ebay as counterfeit
Summary: shwil6236 shared their experience of having a listing marked as counterfeit by eBay, despite providing proof of purchase during the appeal process. They expressed confusion since other similar listings remain active. bonanza125 advised against reposting the item on eBay and suggested using another platform, explaining that other listings might not have been caught yet and could eventually be removed.
I had a listing marked as 'counterfeit' by ebay. I appealed by uploading a screenshot of the purchase order from when I purchased the item and ebay immediately responded saying my appeal was denied and I can not post this item again or my account will be suspended. I included in my appeal that I can provide receipts of purchases of this item (cosmetics, new in box).
There are other listings selling multiples of this same item so it's pretty confusing to me.
Anyone else encounter this and are there any options to appeal to an actual person at ebay vs AI so I can eventually post this item(s) for sale? I'm pretty new to selling on ebay, have been closely following all their guidelines when posting and can't find a way to get further on this issue. Thanks!

·2 weeks agoThis is a standard complaint. Do not list this item again on Ebay. Find another website to post it on. Just because others have the item listed doesn't mean they haven't been removed before or are allowed at all. Sometimes it takes time for listings to get removed. Your listing was most likely reported and caught while the others weren't.
