Well that happens once in a while, just ignore it. The reason you cant name and shame on the boards is what would stop a seller from trying to take the competition out here on the boards? Would be easy enough to defame another seller here, so there has to be some boundaries.

I requested a refund my item was not shipped and it was going to be too late instead of the seller canceling the sale. They accepted my refund request and eBay is keeping my $50. This is terrible. I need the 50 back. The item was never mailed to begin with

You know as well as I do the seller has basically zero rights. You can try to fight all you want over what happened to me (even though my quick refund) was my fault. The buyer most of the time, if not all of the time wins. You know this as a fact.

I read a lot of seller horror stories on these boards .. I know my sale was only a under $40.00 but it's the point of the matter.

Not a one time did I say anything about it being eBays fault.. so I have no idea where that came from.

All I know is when ebay says refund the money, you refund the money just like when ebay tells me to ship a paid item, that purchased item is shipped out immediately.

Growing up to do ? .. You classify being ripped off and hustled is your idea of "I need to grow up" ?

Air doesn't leak out of the top. it didn't when you had it. It does now. I did the refund / paid the return postage. You get the return first THEN refund the buyer. Once you refund the buyer, the case is closed and the buyer no needs to return the item. You should read up on INAD (item not as described) returns and how they work.

Actually, you did not follow eBayâ€™s instructions. You misunderstood what you saw and issued the refund before you were supposed to. That is a mistake that is easy to make, but it is your mistake, not eBayâ€™s.

And you received that warning from the mods because you did not follow the rules of these forums, and now youâ€™re likely to receive another warning. No one is out to get you. You need to understand and follow the rules.

You made mistake. Learn from it and move on. Thankfully it wasn't an expensive item.

Couple things to know. When a buyer files for a Request to Return an item. It is important that you accept the claim and from the claim issue a return shipping label if you want the item back. At this point DO NOT refund the buyer.

If the return shipping label is never used by the buyer, then the seller is NOT charged for that label.

Since you gave the refund first, you are likely out the money and the product now. There is no incentive for the buyer to return the item if they want a refund. So it is highly likely you will never see this product being returned to you. There is nothing you can do or that Ebay can do to make the buyer return the item to you.

Try not to beat yourself up too much. You just made a HUMAN error. You will be just fine. Just learn and move forward with a better knowledge of how to process a Request for Return.

You should always require the product to be returned to you BEFORE issuing a refund. Ebay would not have told you to refund the item up front. I hope things improve for you.

For a $28 item with $10 shipping I would have just refunded without bothering with a return. The cost of your item would now be an additional $20 and it is unlikely you would be able to recover that cost. It is always just business.

Giving up after a whole 10 minutes on the speed bag, refunding on the spot without going through the process to get your merchandise back...it might profit to be a little more patient with things.

You paid return postage...item will get returned and payment will return to buyer.

Sometimes buyers don't return item and will not get a refund...

Buyers sometimes decide to keep item...so it's a win for a seller.

I would not send any further emails or answer any...it might only antagonize the buyer.

And buyer can get 30-35 days to return an item...I have been that route before.

There could be a small break in the bladder - it happens. I would definitely get that bag back and test the bladder. That's a very decent bag.

Then rehang it and start practicing - it takes a lot longer than 5 minutes to work a speed bag even like a decent amateur (which would have been me). Excellent conditioning.

Oh...wait...you refunded BEFORE getting the bag back? You mentioned sending a label.

You cannot post full name and eBay ID of the buyer in this forum please edit your post to remove it or the moderator will do it.
Did you give a refund before receiving the item back ? If you did the buyer is not able to get the return label because as soon as you refunded the case closed.
You gave your buyer back her money and a free bag too. Since your buyer wasnâ€™t given the chance to return, you didnâ€™t pay return shipping, you are only charged return shipping when the label is actually used.
Next time you get a return wait until the item is returned first before refunding.
