My Entire account has been Mysterious Erased...!
I have been selling a ebay, with a sellers account, for 7 years. In November 2025, I was incarcerated for 4 months. I was able to get someone to get in my account and put "time away" in November. I got out at the end of March and went to login to my Ebay account, and it stated that "there is NO account registered to this email". At first I figured it was maybe due to inactivity on my account, or could be due to the "items not received" that was happening in my absence. I see on my bank statement where Ebay deposited funds and then withdrew funds to refund the customers. In February, my bank account started getting in the negative, and thats when the last purchases were made. Then I assumed I may owe ebay money, Pay it and get my account back.
I do NOT have an email from ebay warning me that account is in jeopardy nor do I have one that says anything about suspension/deletion. I didn't contact ebay right away because most(80%) of my active inventory & 50% of new inventory had been thrown away/donated/stolen, while I was gone, and I was dealing with that. I contacted ebay, and I did not learn anything. The Agent told me that there is NO account on record registered to my email. I Told her the circumstances and she said that my account must have been deleted due to inactivity, and she said that they" delete accounts with 30 DAYS of inactivity". However, any thing I can find on the subject states "dormant accounts that have 1-3 years of inactivity, ebay may LOCK or permanently delete, but will send notification emails giving a 30 day warning before action is taken". My store is still listed on the platform, but it says that "I do not have any available inventory listed right now". I can also see and read all positive/negative feedback...
I am hoping to gain any helpful information, advice, or insight from the community on what I can do, should I do next, or should I just start over as a fresh new seller baby..."ah-goo"👶 This whole thing has been a tremendous setback for me, so any helpful advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What did you expect to happen if you stiff buyers for 4 months, force ebay to charge your bank account to recover from your checking account until it runs out of money? I imagine your account is still around if the store still shows (and they are charging you every month), in the hopes you will repay them.... but I doubt very seriously that you will ever be able to sell on ebay again.........

What was the user name on the old account?

·4 months agoIf you owe any money to eBay...that has to be paid off first and they go back a number of years.
Check maybe your credit reports?...Once a year it's free to check online.
Might not be able to open a new account unless all debts are paid.

·4 months agoTime away only lasts for 30 days. It only counts for future buy it now listings.
Ebay does not have to notify you, per the user agreement that you read when you made this new account.

·4 months agoIf you had a lot of cases opened up against you and Ebay had to refund, they probably suspended the account.
This new account, they might suspend it also.
