My EBAY Seller Friend Told ME NO Sales in 22 Days, What is Going ON?

I have a buddy who sells on EBAY, stuff like HOT WHEELS type cars and items he buys at garage, yard sales. Like a yucky used dirty PEZ dispenser for a few bucks and sold it for $91.

He said he was just averaging 4 to 5 sales per month the past year. 2 plus years ago he was averaging around 15 sales per month and was a Top Rated Seller. Today, he is not even qualify to be a Top Rated Seller because of the almost nadda, zippo sales. He keeps asking... "WHAT IS GOING ON???" LOL

This is how he reacted when I last saw him and asked if he sold anything this month (March). The last sold item was:

Who really knows the answer. There are a LOT of things happening now that could be potentially impacting sales: competition (both ecommerce and B&M), the economy, rising cost, tax time, post Christmas slow down, weather and natural disasters, the SVB and Signature bank failures, the pending threat of a US debt default, the heavily hit markets.....................

If anyone can find the single answer please post it.
