My EBay seller feedback should be 100% but is listed as 0%
I have only sold 1 item on EBay, and that was years ago, but got a 5-star rating from the buyer.
I also have only positive feedback as an EBay buyer.
I don't mind being listed as a new seller, but if a percentage is shown it should be 100% not 0%!

I understand your confusion on this matter. The box on our feedback page that recaps our feedback numbers and gives us a percentage is based on the past 12 month period ONLY. It is a far better way than doing the percentages on a lifetime of feedback as that can often not represent what a seller is like today.
Also there are icons on the page that are a small "i" with a circle around it. If you click on that icon, whenever you see it, it will give you details you'd likely find very interesting.

OP1 year agoOK but it seems like in this case, the value should be "no rating". 0% looks very negative, and I have NEVER had negative feedback for any EBay transaction.
Does anyone who replied actually work for EBay? I would like to contact an employee if possible.

·1 year agoI would disagree on this, especially about the Feedback. What you describe regarding negative feedback is the way that Amazon does it. It can be very harmful to sellers since even less Amazon buyers leave feedback for the seller. And those that do, likely have something negative to say. So because these old negs, even decade old negs, still affect the seller's feedback percentage. That is all kinds of wrong.
Which is why Ebay calculates a sellers fb percentages on the past 12 months only. The negs are still on a seller's account, but they just no longer count if more than 12 months old.
As to Ebay employees. No, none have posted on this thread. They are well marked with the Ebay logo being very prominent and the entire post is outlined in Blue, which is why many posters call them the Blues.

On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/ebay
https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

·1 year agoLots of sellers have auto feedback.
They leave you a immediate automatic positive feedback as soon as you buy something from them.

·1 year agoFeedback resets after 12 months. Which is a 2 way street. On one hand, its good if you got a negative feedback, it will go away in a year, and it won't haunt you forever. But it's bad if you had 100% and havent sold or bought anything in 12 months, now you're back at 0%

·1 year agoOn the plus side (get it?) get just one positive and you're back at 100.

OP1 year agoThe last 2 sellers who I bought from left no feedback even though I left very positive feedback for both.
Seller, don't be cheap leaving feedback for buyers, especially those who give you a good rating.
I would not be in this situation if sellers would just do the right thing.

·1 year agoLots of sellers have stopped leaving feedback for buyers because it doesn't mean anything to anyone but the Buyer. Sellers are only allowed to leave positive feedback with a positive comment, or risk getting sanction by Ebay. This has caused many sellers to stop leaving feedback.
Similar for buyers. Speaking for myself only, about 25% or less of my buyers ever leave feedback for me. It has been that way for years now.
The feedback system is voluntary for both the buyer and seller. There is no requirement for any of us to leave feedback, so most likely don't anymore.

·1 year agoAny buyer who knows the FB system knows it does not mean much or anything. Every problem I've ever had on any site was with a seller who had 100% positive FB, and they often did after my transaction was resolved as well.
Any buyer who thinks it is worth something should have the sense to check FB left as a seller. FB left as a buyer is meaningless since it must be positive in rating and the words used.
If your current listing is not selling it is because of limited demand or its price, it is not your lack of FB.

·1 year agoBuy & pay for something from me and you will be at 100% within minutes. Just kidding, it’s true but you don’t have to buy from me —- just pick a seller that appears to give feedback. You can usually tell by checking the numbers.

·1 year agoThe % is based on the feedback received in the last year.
Since you haven't receive any, there's no %.
