My Auctions Do Not Show The ebay "Authenicity Guarantee" Blue Check
I have a number of items listed right now that are not showing the ebay "Authenticity Guarantee" blue check. They are all listed in the "Trading Cards Singles" and are over $250, which means they meet the published criteria on ebay for having the Authenticity Guarantee blue check. Some of my listed items have it, and some don't, and there is no difference that I can see between the items listed.
I have contacted ebay several times about this and the people I end up talking to give me all kinds of different answers as to why these don't have the Authenticity Guarantee (including, they haven't been reviewed yet by our authenticators, ebay has changed its policy about which items are eligible, the cards aren't rare enough, etc.).
Every time one of my items gets sold that I think should have the Authenticity Guarantee I am told to ship it to the authenticator, which means that in fact it should have had the Authenticity Guarantee blue check while it was listed.
Can anyone help me understand why this is happening and what I can do about it? Thanks.

·3 years agoI guess you do. Not something I would list on eBay at that kind of price. I would run through Sotheby's auction house. Not sure why the authenticity process is not showing up but given some of the issues that have been reported with that process I would be cautious about anything that goes through that center.
That being said this would be a good question to ask eBay directly if you do not get any clues here. Use the Facebook connection as the call in support is useless these days.
