My associate was disabled from E-Bay permissions 1 hour after listing products
after leaded 300 listing over the past week, my associate was suddenly and without warning disabled from working on my account.le to assist.
I have had my account for 22 years without incident and now EBay disables an employee from doing her work on the website. Tech Support wan't able to assist saying "Have your associate reach out to us".
do they really think that employees have all sorts of time to waste with technical support?
Thank you

·2 years agoYour "helper" apparently has history with Ebay. Only your helper is entitled to know what that history is, what is wrong with that history, and what they can do to correct what is wrong.
The fact that she cannot access your listings is not an issue that you can do anything about. Were you to know the reason, and decide she should not be working for you that would be a breach of her privacy rights.
I hope she is as good as you think she is. Those new listings look great. But if she is good, she should be able to continue to work for you and other Ebay sellers by resolving her problem.

OP2 years agoThat was the best and most logical answer. Thank you.
You put it in perspective and helped me to see what I couldn't.
Thank you.

Support contact? Can you expand? Your reply is sort of vague.

@tcstraps
I'm pretty sure that Tech Support can't discuss the other associate's situation with you. I'd be concerned about the other associate's situation and how it can/will affect you, though. Good luck.

OP2 years agoThanks for all the replies. To be clear....I own the firm and all the websites affiliated with the accounts. I have been on E-bay since 2001 and have never been suspended or hand slapped for any selling situations.
My associate works for me and I have found her to be meticulous. Her E-bay status changed without notice and without informing me of the change. I went in to try and send her a new invite to get into
Seller Central but it said "that she could not view the permissions page."
E-bay wants me to have her contact tech support to get it straightened out.....not me who's the owner. Fortunately, in addition to my online stores, talk forums (where I am the only advertiser), Amazon, Google shopping, Microsoft shopping plus great Organic search results it is not the end of the world.

·2 years ago@tcstraps,
Your associate/employee is the one who has been restricted by eBay. They are the one who needs to contact eBay to find out what the issue is. It would be a violation of your employee's privacy if eBay were to speak to you about the issue.
I don't know why you would think that just because you hired this person, that you can get around eBay's requirements. Everyone on eBay has to comply with eBay's requirements. Deal with it.

It sounds like you are talking about multi-user account access.
This help page doesn't mention your exact situation, but from what you said, it sounds as though the account you gave access to may have been restricted from selling or using eBay in some way.
If that is the case, then the owner of the account that was restricted will need to contact eBay and find out what they need to do to lift the restriction. It's possible that they may have been restricted on another account, or have been linked to a restricted account. In that case, they are not allowed to make a new account or use an existing account to get around the restrictions.

·2 years agoNot really understanding your post. Was your "associate" logging onto your account using your ID and password? Were they logging on from your computer or from a remote location? Seems odd that they would disable an individual as opposed to suspending an account. Customer service is pretty much useless these days unless you go through the FaceBook connection. Not much else to offer for advice since I cannot figure out from your OP what actually happened.

OP2 years agoThey were invited via E-Bay Seller Central permissions to access all components of the administration of my E-Bay store/listings.
She was logging in on her own credentials after accepting the invitation 2 weeks ago. She has uploaded over 300 of my products, quite professionally I might add, and then today about 4:45pm E-Bay disabled her permission to the Seller Central on my store's account.
I did have a chat with Support and then a specific Seller Central rep who requested that she call them directly as they could not help me, the person who owns the store and has been paying E-Bay for the past 22 years.
So for those who say "deal with it" or whatever, sorry but we pay E-Bay to advertise our goods and in return they give is space for our listings. They do have competition in Amazon, Google, Etsy, Walmart and Microsoft. So, some entrepreneurs have their own websites and drive traffic directly to them via organic and paid search as well as curated mailing lists generated over decades. Reasons for their actions should not be a hidden secret.
Funny thing, prior to 2 weeks ago I have 10 products listed for 10+ years and now decided to add the entire catalog. And, here I am discussing this problem and I can't believe how many people have viewed these posts which tells me that there are lots of E-Bay problems that we are first learning about.'

·2 years agoIf your associate has been restricted and is no longer registered then any account associated with them will also get restricted. So the OP should get prepared to have their account disabled, too.
