My 1916 fashion catalog. Ebay won't allow me to put in this early correct date.
Ebay item specifics glitch which is very common with many other categories. Under catalogs, eBay wants this required item specific but the date is not in the scroll down and won't allow me to type the date of 1916. Ebay scroll down is very late dates like 2020, 1965 etc, But stops long before 1916. Won'i allow me to type in the date. This is very a common glitch when never got corrected with many other categories. Won't allow very old items giving their true dates.

·2 years agoDo what I do. Add a custom field that is named similar to the one that won't work and set your date there. It will then be added to the details section like the rest.
There have been a few times where I had to do this, to get the info the way I wanted it on the listing. If the given option doesn't work, I just don't use that one and create a similar one and put in the custom field how I want it to be.
If this is say the Publication Date box you are trying to use (as an example) you can create a new field that is called Published Date instead.
Easy.

·2 years agoI found the listing in question and you are correct. It won't let you manually enter a date.
However this doesn't really matter. Havin 1916 in the title gets you the same results as it being in the specifics.

They have it under the category Collectables >>>>>> see if that would help.

·2 years agoAre you listing from a phone? As I listed several books from the 1800s in recent memory and never had that problem.
