Money not received from the sale

Could anyone help and advise! I try to find answer to my little problem on ebay site, but still with no success!
The point is that I have sold an item, small used wristwatch buckle, buyer has paid for it, but funds have not yet appeared on my credit card. Ok, but couldnt find this buckle, and that is why I cancelled the transaction due to item is out of stock! But at this moment I was charged full refund from one of my credit card linked to my ebay account! Ok I thought the payment is made by the buyer, so these funds should appear some day, probably next day on my credit card, because status of the order showed payout is available etc....
But 5 days gone till that day( I cancelled and refunded on august 10, the purchase and original payment was made on august 8) and there is still nothing appeared on my credit card! So original payment havent reached my account!
And now I have minus 19 eur balance from this cancelled transaction!
Is there any way to ask Ebay for this original payment!?

·3 weeks ago@evija-watch You really should not have done that without researching what the problem was and actually getting the answer. You now have likely caused yourself additional problems with Ebay as well as your buyer.
Ebay would have processed the buyer's original payment to you as they normally process payments, to your attached Checking Account. They would NOT have ever made a payment to your Credit Card. So what you have done is reversed the refund sent to your buyer and the buyer's money is either sitting in your Ebay account or in your Bank account.
You should likely contact your buyer and express your regrets as you made an honest mistake. The contact your credit card company ASAP and reverse the action you took that you did in error. The sooner you do this the better it will be for you.
Also keep in mind that you have been away from selling for awhile, so there are rules that have been in place for years that would apply to you.
When a seller is a Casual seller or been away from selling for about 90+ days, Ebay also may hold funds for a period of time until you have a bit of current experience under your belt. Usually no more than maybe 10 or so newer transactions.
An occasional seller
Sellers who haven't yet established a strong, consistent track record or who don't have any recent selling history will typically receive their funds 24 hours after delivery confirmation (for tracked items), or 31 days after the buyer pays (for items sent without tracking).
If you previously qualified to receive your funds faster as a new seller, you may experience this hold if you haven’t sold in a while. If you do, you’ll receive your funds 2 days after delivery confirmation or 14 days after the buyer pays.

OP3 weeks agoThank you! I have asked a buyer if he received his refund, he said yes, only full refund, exactly the amount he has paid! It was 30$ total. So this was my refund from a credit card 19.60 eur + ebay fee!
But his original payment havent reached my bank account! Unfortunately! :(

·2 weeks agoWhen you reversed the payment made from your credit card, it would take into account that they had to repay Ebay for the fees that were deducted too. And any shipping that was paid for by you for the original shipping.
The buyer should get their full amount paid back, but for you as the seller it is not the same. You owe fees to Ebay for selling here and you have to pay for the shipping.
It is likely your buyer has not yet been notified that you reversed the refund. You really should NOT have involved them in this mess of your creation unless you had no other alternative, but you did have an alternative. Contact your Credit Card and have them reprocess the refund ASAP as you made a mistake.
The original payment will get to your account. You can review its status in your Payment Account. But you should NOT make the buyer wait for the refund. Reprocess it immediately if not sooner.

·3 weeks agoIt sounds like the refund was processed before the original payout reached you, which can sometimes make the account show a temporary negative balance.
I’d recommend checking Seller Hub → Payments → All transactions to see whether the buyer’s payment shows as “processing,” “on hold,” “available,” or “paid out.” Also check the payout details to confirm which bank/card account eBay is using, since seller payouts generally go to the linked bank account rather than back to the credit card used for other transactions.
Since it has already been 5 days, I’d contact eBay Support directly and provide the order number, payment date (August 8), cancellation/refund date (August 10), and the €19 negative balance. They should be able to trace the original payment and explain exactly where the funds went.

Any direct email for support? Or only telephone conversation? Hope there will not be ai bot on the other side....

So when you canceled the sale for OOS and issued a refund, the refund came from your bank account.
Once the hold time passes, the funds will be released and will go to your bank.

OP3 weeks agoThank you! Yes, I understand this the same as you explained! But the fact is that funds havent appeared at my account till now( since august 8, the week is gone), and there is nothing that shows funds "on hold" in order details, but shows funds status "available".... but where it is available I cant understand!?

·3 weeks agoI would think so..........however you are in the Latvia and this board is primarily US sellers.......Posting on an EU board might give you a different answer since rules are different.
