Are the items worth the time and cost to be sent back to you? If both of those buyers open a return for INAD, you would be forced anyways to accept and pay return shipping. Now you would be out the cost of shipping both ways on both items with 2 slightly annoyed buyers. I would chalk it up as a loss and just issue both buyers a refund and allow them to keep the items they received.
I would agree, in the old days you could have the buyers ship each other the items. But nowadays, just better to have them return it if you want the items back or to just refund them and let them keep it.
I would agree with jonathanbrightlight, That is your best means to salvage this issue, But in the first place just work on one order at a time so that way these mix ups don't happen., Pack & print shipping label, attach label, Then move onto the next.
Yup, I imagine every seller has done this a cpl times. Last couple times I've done it, never heard from the buyers that received the more valuable item...

I've always packed and labeled each parcel individually to avoid just this problem. Never print multiple labels and do an assembly-line style packing.
How do I send shipping labels to get the items back?
I have had this happen a couple times, if I had more stock of either or both and they have not opened a return I would tell the buyer I will send you the correct one and include a return label for the wrong one.
One time many years ago when this happened we mailed new labels to each buyer and they put them on and re mailed them.
In the days when people cooperated, you could send a shipping label to each buyer and ask them to mail the package shipped to them in error, to the other person.
Each buyer can start a return request to send back the item they received that was not what they purchased. You can then issue return shipping labels through those return requests.
Thank you for your response. The items being returned are different shipping prices. Is there a way to correct the difference in shipping costs?
Return shipping labels purchased through eBay should be charged at the weight on the package when it’s received, even if it’s purchased with a different weight. You could choose to purchase labels from another source like pirateship.com and upload them if you prefer.
And buyer should either get the correct item or a refund.
A buyer gets around 30+ days to return something...Will buyers wait?
Are buyers 'great' shippers?
Is your feedback important to you....might want to eat the shipping and / or items sent because of a mistake.
Just my opinion...I just refund the buyer and send something similar also and let buyer keep item...I notice I have never gotten a positive, neutral or negative feedback doing this...not even a thank you from the buyer.
The thing I don’t understand is on my side it shows that the shoes were delivered to the right buyer, but she received a different item.
Your tracking only shows the label arrived to the correct buyer, but it doesn't show they received the correct shoes since your label was placed on the wrong box.

Best to get labels for the buyers to send the items back to you.

OP8 months agoIf I upload the label from pirate ship does the buyer have to print it or can it be scanned like the eBay labels?

·8 months agoThe only thing eBay or the carrier knows is the tracking number. They don’t know that the tracking number is associated with the wrong box.
