Mistaken "Battery Recycle Fee" on ALL California battery sales !!!

Locked

Discussion interactions are currently paused.

eBay has pulled another of its Classic Blunders !!

Since Dec 11, they have taken to INCORRECTLY accessing a $1.00 per battery package fee onto ALL California battery sales. This fee is supposed to ONLY apply to Lead Acid batteries. It appears under "Taxes". All sellers of batteries on eBay had best unite against this blunder ASAP, or see a MARKED reduction in battery sales as customers notice this ripoff !!

NOTE: It does NOT amount to only $1.00 per sale. It amounts to $1.00 per battery package, ie -- If you buy 5 separate packages of batteries on the same order, you get assessed a $5.00 TAX.

Here it is April 2023 and they are charging $2.00 on batteries that are not led acid as well. Were did all the bogus fee charges go and why three years later the blunder still exist?
