Medical Cpap accessory's
Hello, I have tried two times to list a C-pap mask and headgear on eBay, and I keep being told it requires a prescription. No, it does not. This is not the machine, and I've sold other C-pap supplies before.
I've spoken to CS; they told me to just relist because it's scanned by a computer and write a note about it. which I did.
Now what I see is hundreds of other sellers with the same supplies posted on eBay. Why are they targeting me? And how do I fix this?

·1 year agoHad the same issue. Stop trying to list. If the machine itself requires a prescription, everything associated with the machine is also considered prescription. Regardless if you can get certain parts without one. Stop trying to list as you can jeopardize your account.

·1 year agoEbay blocks all sorts of medical related items that do not actually require a prescription. I run into it with some mystery Goodwill bins item roughly once per year.
Sell it on another platform or give it to someone who can use it.

·1 year agoSellers have sold accessories (i.e. travel bag, messenger bag..) incl w/ CPAP but not parts or machine itself.

·1 year agoThe policy is pretty clear. It excludes CPAP machines and also the masks for CPAP machines.
Any medical device that requires a prescription can't be sold on eBay, including:
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machines (CPAP), along with masks, humidifiers, heated water chambers, and heated tubing

·1 year agoThey aren't targeting you, the bots are simply removing those listings that are prohibited from being sold.
Regardless whether or not you need a prescription CPAP accessories are not allowed to be sold here. Just because you see others selling it only means one of two things, they haven't been caught yet or they have government authorization to sell.
You can fix it by not trying to sell it.
Customer service reps on the phone are notorious not knowing policies and for telling people what they want to hear to get you off the phone for their next call.

·1 year agoThink of it this way. Not all speeders are caught. But speeding is still illegal and if the cop sees you, expect a ticket.

·1 year agoThere is nothing you can do to change the outcome of a removal. Eventually the other ads will get removed. Yours is the one which was caught. Ok you sold others before. They were prohibited then as they are now. You sold a prohibited item. Ebay could have cancelled that sale. Ebay is not the only website which prohibits this.
