Managed payments. Question on services. 3-4 days to receive funds.
Why do funds take up to 4 days to be deposited to my bank? I am not set up for the quick (30 min.) deposit with the $2.00 fee.
Shipping charges are withdrawn the next day after label is created but receiving the funds for sales can take up to 4 days.
Just curious on this matter?

·1 year agoI generally see my funds the day after I request them (that is, next business day)

·1 year agoNote that money is not even sent over the weekend; sales on a Friday won't have money sent until Monday at the earliest (and SENT does NOT mean 'in your bank'- that additional time is your banks problem/timeline)

·1 year agoYou might want to explore a different bank. Some seem a little quicker than others at clearing ACH transactions. My credit union has the eBay funds one business day after eBay tells me that the funds are on the way.

·1 year agoMany factors are involved in the processing times for various services from banks.
If your bank (like mine) offers "early direct" deposits on ACH, the funds are often times in my account the 'same day' or at longest next day.
You need to have an account and a bank that qualifies to receive these benefits.
Is early direct deposit available for all types of payments?
Generally, early direct deposit is used for paychecks. You might also be able to set up early direct deposit for things like government benefits; however, you'll want to check with your bank to confirm.
as far as shipping charges, I thought you could only use available funds or Paypal?

·1 year agoIt is interesting how e-commerce clings to time periods. Of course, it is not clear exactly how it works. As the OP states, why does it take so long? Why does each processing unit need to keep funds for so long. It is not clear what the cut off time for processing is (I think its noon EST), so if I sell something at 12:01 EST, it won't be processed until the next day, and then sent the following day to the bank, and then they need a day.

·1 year agoIn the early 2000's when I accepted cards on one of my web sites, I had to run the batch at 9 pm, anything after that didn't get processed until 9 pm the next day.
Not sure how they do it now.

·1 year agoYou should ask your bank that question, because it's your bank that ultimately handles your deposits.

·1 year agoIf you Google "ACH settlement times" you will discover that almost all services state that ACH transfers typically take 1-3 days.
