Make it make sense.
Researching a child sized wheelchair and the closed solds came up included vintage diapers.
Why the elf are vintage packs of diapers selling for real money?
Is this some Disney Black Diamond nonsense or do I really have to start buying diapers for a fetish crowd?

·11 months agoThough you pretty much have plenty of answers but was in a similar situation few years ago though was looking for chair for active younger adults and though I don't know everything I was & prob still vanilla as there are festishes, lifestyles, & some say it relieves their stress (I don't know how it's a stress relief unless your stuck in traffic) & honestly way I look at it is to each their own and honestly eBay is better than other options. But to answer that part of your question which I really didn't see an answer for was yes you should if you happen to see them at a yard sale, goodwill or somethings like it. Being disabled I honestly don't get it but try not to judge & as long as it's between consenting ADULTS and they stay away from kids(some like to involve others, some will fake a disability which some been arrested for and some go or do things kids do which I find wrong like parks)! I try to keep my feelings to myself as it's nuttier than squirrel crap as it makes no sense why someone would want something that causes some other anxiety or other Mh issues. I will save you from or hopefully try to so 1st Their money is as green if not greener big thing is vintage plastic backed adult diapers and plastic backed as well as older cloth back disposable toddler size diapers bigger size the better say size 6 or XL+ usually name brands and though older sells but from late 80's, 90's, and early to mid 2000's(anything newer than that like think 18+yrs ago but now buying sz7&8 and things from Temu sites) on the Adult side what fetches the most and honestly blew my mind from 1st time I sold some was most looking for Attends Brand & like I mentioned plastic backed (like anything else you have to check the market like I may or may not have some to list but when it's flooded or bunch up there it's a gamble) but most are looking for sizes Med, Reg, or Large (XL sells occasionally) and older the better though like saw one last week mid 90's seller had multiple packs like $90 per and had one left big thing when it comes to Attends alot of those buyers look for ones made by P&G (yes the same company that makes name brand baby diapers) but Paper Pak ones sells as well and honestly if they are old vintage usually they have CR dates I've seen some of what's considered junk brands sell for decent prices. 2. Adult Diapers not available in the US especially ones made in the EU & UK and just bc a brand sells in the US or is for sale here like big one is Tena in UK their called Slips or Maxi (each brand has their own names but whats available in the UK is far better than a majority available in the US like there is a few sellers online occasionally will get a pallet or 2 of cases of Attends or Tena plastic backed from the UK & they sell for up to $120/cs+/- depending on absorbency level & depending on size it works out to be $30-40 per pack once the retailers sell out you have sellers selling them within 24hrs anywhere from full packs at 2+x original cost like once seen them for $80/pk + s&h to sample packs which from watching seems like they sell sometimes better like if I remember correctly say it breaks down to $1.70/diaper & get sold for $4-8+/diap(some will include s&h if they can get good flare rate fee) bc there are those who either can't get full shipments (they don't live alone) or they just want to try them which leads me to 3. There are some discontinued newer brand but again from EU plastic back so like example brand Molicare they used to be various shades of purple depending on size now shades of blue made in Germany they were imported or was not sure if they still do Medline Medical both sell but the purple ones sell better and like a brand I mentioned before Attends most of their products are trash but like 2011ish when they 1st started to make the cloth like outer cover they used to be super thick & much higher quality than the trash they make now occasionally they will sell for at least double but it's basically what's not available or if it's high quality those usually sell better in sample packs (do yourself a favor don't look up abdl diapers but they have printed or ones that look like baby ones both cloth & mainly plastic backed I personally can't explain why someone wants them as I think a reason Dr Phi drinks more & shows like his don't exist lol like I know plenty of disabled people who wish they didn't have to deal with it) but like there is a company that gets super high quality ones from EU & China called Northshore & even though you can buy samples from them people will sell them for more here like say u get a 4pk for $15 they will sell them for 2/$15 & on avg if I remember my math samples of high quality adult diapers sells anywhere from $4-8/ec some more including those ones told u not to look up (though before I sell again I have to refresh policy but like I mentioned some don't live alone & this includes teens but I don't know how I would know their real age) you can if you want but gather holy water some sage and a stiff drink and if you choose to sell them I found putting something like seller is aware of abdl's or something like that a lot of the ads will have some phrase also make sure I list how they be shipped like shipped in discreet whatever bc though there is a lot of that group there are some with legit medical conditions and they don't want a diaper box showing up either. I forget what # I was on but honestly from experience though you may get an occasional message of an attention seeker it far better than selling on CL/Marketplace bc those attention seekers more bold in person like I'm not scared of people but my background is different than most & I will actually buy and sell for friends that are disabled or have kids with special abilities bc they have had experiences like mine & it might just be my area but avg is like 1/4.5 that are attention seeking & then there are those who who are super discreet as well as they make it obvious yet not say anything like tight or small pants/shirts. Lastly like I said their money is as green if not greener like right before the coof I was traveling out of state forgot to pack something fortunately found a home med store that was half home med and half geared towards this stuff & after the **bleep** moment I was curious (though I still don't understand) but they were a family own place been around forever but like many home med supply stores they were on verge of closing bc Medicaid & others Insurances took a lot of their customers away & went with online suppliers and an employee stumbled upon this group so they started with their small shop and what I saw they actually double their store and was mainly selling to that group & they said they had had people that would drive 5+ hrs if not longer to buy in person vs online though they I think they are still in business but they legit bought the space next to them and like I said half medical half that including a fitting room or changing room for all ages & had samples from single diapers think they were$5-7 to other samples and boxes with accessories though besides what looked like a therapy/exam table they didn't have furniture(though I remember her saying they sold massage, therapy & exam tables as changing tables though that crowd buys more few parent of special kids use them) but they basically had everything else like it was a babies r us but in teen to very big adult. Though I'm not selling on that level but if it saved their business though I have opinions I also like small businesses & honestly it's hard enough to find a family own pharmacy let alone med supply store like when I first got injured it seemed like they were everywhere now like say there was 15 with in 30-60mins maybe 4 now or less.
I apologize for the very long reply but it's not something I felt like I could answer without also helping as there is things I wish I had known like I listed 1st pack of attends for like $25 & $15sh and I think I paid $10 for that pack to me it wasn't gouging yet what it sold for crazy but I haven't sold any in few yrs but learned to take plenty of pics as well as few prior to sealing the box as I have had some try things also learned buyer is responsible for return shipping which also helped which I learned here bc of people who think is the jungle site and they can return a brick or whatever or get one over & honestly blessed of the issues I had because I documented everything well enough including the exact weight shipped eBay was great to deal with and had my back (those days my fee went to use) though like I mentioned I have to review changes as I have seen but like everything has gone up & have to learn that side again like factoring fees which though I hate sharing but as I mentioned above I rather sell here vs having to meet an unknown person with unknown intentions the attention seekers I don't feed into it and don't respond to anything not relevant then I drink lol good luck

@grand-and-glorious-purpose
Actually, I find everyone's opinions on this topic quite interesting. I was born many years before @gurlcat and way before disposable diapers were likely even invented. I will, curiously enough, next time I travel to a real store take a look at the disposable diaper offerings and take note of where they are manufactured.
Depending what I find out, it may be that that the old 'vintage cloth' diapers may become more in fashion again if the disposable versions are manufactured in China. So if you see some old cloth diapers for cheap, it may not be a bad investment. You could always use them to dust or wax your furniture, wash down your countertops, wash your cars, etc. especially if other products we are used to become extinct or cost prohibitive as well.

OP1 year agoOne of my jobs before ebay in the mid 90s was multiple site janitorial daily service.
We purchased all of our rags from a diaper service because they were low lint.

·11 months agoIf you didn't learn most of everything is made with globally sourced items & I really don't want to make you feel old but unfortunately besides specialty stores your really not going to find quality cloth diapers like what's sold in most places isn't quality cloth diapers if you choose that route like Gerber for example they sell them & I'm not sure if I would use them for rags like materials are crap. You would have better luck in house goods section in terry towels or flour sacks(roughly similar size to flats) there cover may work for little bit but if anyone wanted to use cloth for their kids think the company we bought from out of VT Green Mtn very high quality though hard to find US made we found few in Canada but most cloth diapers are coming from the Stans (which I kinda giggle as I watered a bunch of bushes in a few Stan's was like what if those weren't The O plants & they were Cotton plants who am I kidding they might of had little cotton for the village & tribes but that's not what makes the big money yeah some of those fields got little toasty to keep that poison away burning them was bad accidentally dropped things on them oh man you missed try harder next time stand by for adjustment grid to follow & mister farmer not growing poison here some money we printed just got you it's worth even less than the USD,Pound, probably roughly similar to rubbles now) though will date myself as far as I can remember I have always used usually in great condition but the buy per pound diaper service rags to wax trucks, clean & dry even better than towels made for say dishes also great in sweatband of hats , than there was family & others I didn't like & if knew they were having kids best $5-10 spent on what they thought were gently used (& I looked great) nope rags for the dishrags 😂 (though tech retired ones,& they are kinda like them in that both were full of poop ha well one was one still but from buying quality cloth diapers though they were way better than the crap Wally World & most chain baby store has & even for cleaning most lasted a while) but we still buy them though unfortunately seems like most harder to find locally.

·1 year agoThat was my immediate thought. The OP didn't say they were vintage ADULT diapers, so I don't know where all these 'fetish' thoughts are coming from.

·1 year agoI was going to post that it takes a lot to wear out a diaper, and that DD wore diapers that had been used by her by then married cousins.
Then I realized that people have been buying disposable diapers for more than forty years, and "vintage" may mean from the 1980s.

How dare you!
We all know 1970 was 30 years ago, 1990 was 10 years ago and everything between 9/11 and the Great Quar is last year 😂

·1 year agoLOL hey I totally get it; if you are old enough to remember a year it doesn't feel like that long ago, and time seems to speed up even faster, the older you get.
Thinking back ... okay I was born in '73, so it was the 80's by the time I was old enough to really begin thinking about time in the abstract. And at that time if you'd asked me if the 50's were "long ago" I would have answered in the STRONG affirmative. -But that was only 30 years. NOW if you ask me if the 90's were long ago, I'd be like "Nah, not at all!"
And .... okay hopefully only you will read this because I think you'd agree and I really don't want to start a big 'thing' with those who don't .... but I do feel democracy in America is presently at threat. And what's so weird to me is watching people talk about the Constitution, and thinking about it, myself, all the contradictions that come to mind. On the one hand, I get what's special about it, what was fresh and revolutionary about it, but on the other hand, in some ways, it feels abysmally outdated, because of the speed of technological progress that happened afterward, all the changes the Founding Fathers couldn't have possibly envisioned. Yet some people seem to think our rights are solid, cemented, because they're "old" like the Bible or something. No they're not, LOL! America is a toddler in the grand scheme of things! It's also relatively enormous, size-wise, which maybe makes it hard to picture getting wrangled by authoritarians, but all it would take is better organization for 'J6' types to do a "better" job as deputies than they did ON J6, all over the country. Did you happen to see the A24 'Civil War' movie that came out last year? Effing terrifying.
The older I get, the more I get the old saying,
Europeans think 100 miles is a long distance,
Americans think 100 years is a long time.

·1 year agoIf it's on reddit, it must be true.
I still don't get your concern, unless you're sitting on a container of vintage diapers.

OP1 year agoThere is no concern which is why it appears baffling.
I already take money from weirdos. Why would other different weirdos give me the ick?

Has nothing to do with fetishes, ADBLs prefer new modern diapers.

·1 year agoI wouldn't worry too my as to WHY people are buying and selling vintage diapers.
grand-and-glorious-purpose
OP1 year agoI don't care why someone sells something.
But knowing why someone buys something is super extra important.
Like are these sales real? What are these buyers looking for?
Do I need a track record of diaper sales to get the high rollers?
