Lost Shipment While On Time Away
Summary: har830902 shared an issue regarding a shipment lost while on 'time-away.' Although har830902 had a receipt from the post office, the item never left, leading to eBay refunding the customer. Time Away and lost shipping:
While I was on, "time-away", a sold item was shipped, (before I had left), but never left the postoffice, I do have the scanned receipt showing they accepted it. My issue is while I was away the customer requested a refund, "item not received". While I was away eBay refunded the order. I have no issue with that however, I now see that I will be dinged for that in my stats. How do I go about resolving this so my store stats are not dinged?

·1 week agoEbay doesn't care if you're on Time Away, they still expect sellers to handle any problems that come up while you're gone.

·1 week agoNot sure what to do about this one but download the app on your phone so you can mind your store when you are on time away. IMO time away does not = Let what happens happen.

·1 week agoSorry this happened to you, not a good thing to return to after your vacation.
Even though you mailed this item on time, EBAY still holds the Seller responsible for item being delivered.
When customer opens "did not receive item" claim Seller has a deadline to "refund customer" (because you didn't do that and EBAY stepped in and refunded customer) that is why you got a defect). EBAY will not remove this defect.
I hope you filed a claim with USPS for "lost item" and get your money back.

·1 week agoYou can't. Because you did not respond to the INR and Ebay had to step in to help the buyer, you do get dinged in your stats. Ebay isn't going to remove it because you weren't watching your messages. Sorry!
