Looking for a Simple and Affordable eBay Repricer
Summary: khrisma777 is seeking recommendations for a simple and affordable eBay repricing tool, having found 3Dsellers too costly for their needs as eBay is a secondary sales channel. They are considering Price Spectre and requested feedback on its performance, especially for their catalog of around 200 listings. inhawaii and others expressed skepticism about the necessity of such tools for a small inventory, while gurlcat warned against using Price Spectre due to a negative experience. However, tenoem countered, praising Price Spectre for its pricing model and reliability, provided it’s correctly configured. Various participants debated the value and trustworthiness of repricing tools versus manual adjustments.
We're currently exploring options for a repricing tool for our eBay store and would appreciate some recommendations.
We tried the free trial of 3Dsellers, but the subscription is more than we're looking to spend, especially since eBay is only our secondary sales channel. Our primary platform is Amazon.
Most of the products we list on eBay are Amazon customer returns, and we currently have around 200 listings that we'd like to manage with a repricer. We don't need the extensive features that platforms like 3Dsellers offer. We're mainly looking for a tool that can automatically adjust our eBay prices based on competing listings, with the ability to set minimum/floor prices so we don't price below our target.
I came across Price Spectre, which seems to be more focused specifically on repricing and has a more affordable pricing structure.
For those who have used Price Spectre:
How has your experience been?
How accurate/reliable is the competitor matching?
Does it work well with a relatively small catalog of around 200 listings?
Are there any limitations we should be aware of?
I'd also appreciate recommendations for other affordable eBay repricing tools that primarily focus on repricing, rather than offering a large suite of additional features we don't really need.

·1 month agoBTW, I don't see the OP as AI written - it's just coherent. AI has a stilted, almost twee style that instantly stands out, this is just plainly stated. I wrote stuff like that for payment by the line in my corp life.

·1 month agoA repricer, as far as I understand it, automatically syncs fluctuating inventory prices across sites. The automation takes the hassle out of repeatedly editing prices on one site or another. I can see it saving quite a lot of time, even with 200 listings.

·1 month agoI wouldn't trust another human being (even a smart one) to reprice my items, let alone some computer program.

·1 month agoThis is just comparative pricing for mass produced commodities - the prices are pretty much baked in, it's just a matter of adjusting a few cents up or down per the market. I wouldn't use something like that for anything else, though.

·1 month agoWhat’s the purpose of a repricer when I can simply use the bulk editor, select all my items, adjust the prices by a set dollar amount or percentage then submit the changes.
No need for a separate program to do that.

Why? This smells like an advertisement to me ... and obviously written by AI (notice how it repeats phrases over and over?).

·1 month agoNo, they are clearly just a savvy shopper with a writing style that's a perfect addition to any discussion forum. They are sure to turn heads and start conversations with their passion for value and openness to public opinion.
Watch how much they'll appreciate my help:
Hey @khrisma777 OMG don't waste your money on Price Spectre!! It is an absolute GARBAGE repricer, and I'm saying that not just as someone who got sucked into their promises, but countless other sellers who've tried it and hated everything about it. This one guy said he woke up one day to find his entire inventory SOLD, all items repriced to 99 cents! The thing just went ROGUE overnight!
Dude, don't do it or you'll regret it. Take a hint from the name, Price Spectre. The company will absolutely GHOST you, after they've taken your money and ruined your future!

·1 month agoPrice Spectre is a GREAT repricing tool. I've had 0 issues with it in 4 years with 20K+ items running through it the entire time. It's all about how you configure it.

·1 month agoPrice spectre is a great re-pricer cause unlike other repricers it only charges you for items you have repriced. Other reprices charge you based on your entire inventory, regardless if you are only repricing a small protion of it.
It has a learning curve, if you don't configure it right, the results can be disastrous.

·1 month agoI love this repricer, and have been using it on 22,000 current listed items with zero issues in 4 years.
If someone had all their items repriced to 99 cents its because they misconfigured the pricing tool.

·1 month agoWhen I want to reprice an item, I just edit the listing and change the price, and it doesn't cost anything.

·1 month agoTry doing that on an inventory of over 20k items.

·1 month agoThe one I know about is Tasklifter - not sure if it's out of beta testing by now, but it supposedly is.

·1 month agoWhy would you need any tool to "reprice" only 200 listings.

·1 month ago · EditedPardon my ignorance.
Part time seller on ebay for over 27 years since 1999.
1700+ sales.
I've never heard of a ebay repricing tool.

·1 month agoPrice spectre, street pricer, etc. Once you get 10's of thousands of listings you need to use one to keep selling your older items.
