Live animal policy on Shrimps and snails
I recently received a violation for the three items for the violation policy. A recent post, "The live animals policy change needs to be reversed, or amended." , indicated that the issue is resolved and I did get a message from ebay that I did not have to remove my listing on Feb 24. Now that I got the violation for selling shrimps. I have appeal the violation but I have not hear back from ebay. Does any shrimp or snail seller also received the violation?
In the message, it stated that "Effective March 18, 2025, we will no longer allow the sale of live animals in the UK marketplace. We've removed your listings to comply with the updated policy. There is no penalty on your account for this change." I don't sell anything to UK. Why does this matter?
I see a lots of seller are still selling Shrimps. Do you also get the violation message?
The same snails and shrimps are also sold on Petco. Why does Ebay more restricted than the retail stores? Ebay has always been the place where the buyer can get stuffs that they don't get it from the retail stores. Now, ebay is more restricted than the retail stores.
The live animal policy says that the sellers can sell "tropical fish". The person write this policy does not really now about aquarist hobby. How about domestic fish or gold fish? They are not necessarily tropical They need to include aquarium shrimps and snails as well.

·1 year agoYou don't ship to UK but I don't see that region excluded on your listings either - make sure you have all international locations excluded on your live animal listings.
You're violating the live animal policy by offering Ground Adv shipping. You have to offer a 1-day overnight shipping service. Even 2 day isn't good enough.
"Sellers need to ensure that they have the necessary government permits and also guarantee safe, overnight shipping."
