Littmann stethoscope

Hi there. I recieved a letter from an attorney stating I was unauthorized to sell littman stethoscopes on ebay or any other forum. I can not find that information anywhere. I do not have one listed. However I did have a name tag listed. Anyone out there recieved anything similar?

The OP was only selling a Littman tag, not a stethoscope. It seems possible a bot flagged him—maybe the tag could be used to pass off a fake Littman stethoscope as genuine?

I really don’t know what the tag was for; so just sharing my thoughts.

I always Love when this pops up on the boards. the great VERO DEBATE its a great argument that Id love to debate with anyone

you paid full price, it should be yours to do whatever you wish after they accept payment in full for it!!! and "was retained control by the original Vendor ever disclosed?"

I've had so many items pulled by eBay over Vero claims over the Years its not funny, eBay does not have the staff time or money to waste defending sellers so they simply pull it and let the other sides, (You And the Attorney) deal with it outside of them.

I've got Clean Principled arguments that respects the law and ethics side of this debate but

it always comes down to "WHOEVER HAS THE MOST TIME AND MONEY TO SPEND WINS" Money can be replaced. Time however is a limited commodity... you cannot ever rent it, buy it, or replace it. weigh Your stethoscope against that.

eBay does not have the staff time or money to waste defending sellers

eBay has absolutely no incentive to defend sellers against VERO claims.

VERO protects eBay from liability for the actions of eBay sellers.

eBay is not a subject matter expert on all 1.5 billion items listed here.

There is no way eBay's legal team is going to allow an eBay employee to void eBay's liability shield based on what that employee "thinks" the intellectual property status of an item might be.

fortunately in the United states of america a manufacturer can not just arbitraliary say that no one can resell their items. Just imagine if Ford, GM or Chrysler just decided that none of their products can ever be resold

Was it an actual physical letter that you received? 3M the owners of Littman have been known to do this to combat counterfeit items being sold on the open market.
