Listings not showing up
I have several Bionicles listed and they wont show up under certain categories even though the listing is set to that category.
For instance Bionicle 8699 Item #267622351893 is listed in the category "Lego complete sets and packs" but it will only show up if the buyer choose to search under "All categories, and Building Toys".
When the buyer chooses the category "Lego complete sets and packs" the listing doesnt show up.
Try searching the above item number under All Categories and then search it again under the Lego Complete Sets and packs" category. It has a pretty blue background so its easy to see.
Its a huge problem because when someone searches a Lego item under "All categories" it automatically switches the category to "Lego Complete Set and Packs" . So if a buyer has already searched one Lego, they will be automatically switched to the Lego category and my listings wont show up.
If anyone knows what's happening, I would appreciate some help with this. Ive been selling for over 20 years and have never seen this before.

·5 months agoDon't know much about the items you're selling, but here's a few things I noticed.
Do away with free shipping in the title, buyers can already see that and use the space for other key words.
One item I checked, the descriptions says:
It doesn't really say much about the item.
Describe the items, condition, measurements and anything else a buyer might be searching for.

OP5 months agoThank you for your kind advice but I am testing a theory with my titles. An advertising exec told me once that 90% of sales are made from the titles. I've noticed on social media that people dont want to look further than a headline to get their information so I'm testing to see if that applies to ebay purchases. After 6 months, I'll switch back to the way I used to do things and see if theres a noticeable difference in sales.

It brings up 69 listings, yours is the very frst one.
Relax.
People come here several times a day complaining that the search isn't working when in fact it is.
FYI: I've noticed when you're searching for your own items you sometimes will get different search results than others.
