Barbara, I sell items much like those you have listed. Sales are down for most sellers on Ebay. The only way I am able to get by is to send offers to watchers, use coupon offers or markdowns, buy low, promote and keep lots of listings running. By the way, your prices are lower than mine. I find it helps to list higher and offer discount. People like to think they are getting a deal. Also, on jewelry you may want to go back into the listing and use the Ebay photo enhancer to lighten the images. Makes gold, solver, jewels pop more.
Suggestions. I have a lot of views and watchers but sales have been zero
Without clicking into and evaluating specific listings @ettajane63 , from generally scrolling through your listings the thing that stands out most is photos could use brightening, and crop the lead image to squares whenever possible because on the app all those rectangle images get cut off in search view.
Not sure if @silverstatetreasureboxes is around or if she has the time to offer a few general tips based on her familiarity with your category, but if she sees this tag she may add some advice.
Hi etta, I did look at your listings, you have some good name brands and some just basic everyday finds. I love RJM costume jewelry, I would bump those prices up a tad, photos are good on those pieces.
I would make good jewelry lots from the no name, stretch types, simpleton stuff and throw it into Auction starting $9.99 ( at least 10 items).
Also when a piece is not sterling, avoid using the word Silver in the title, put Silver tone in title and description ( I did see it there, but folks don't read).
I am confused over a listing and here it is
why is there a drop down menu? IMHO these watches are priced high with dead batteries. This listing maybe a problem child waiting to cry.
I would really focus on your better jewelry, I do like the fact that you stated the brand from Bloomingdale's, nice & helpful.
As @ jolztoyco says requiring immediate payment blocks multi-item orders. And you have many items which are too inexpensive to do that, the first drop on shipping is too large and buyers do not feel they get value unless they can lower the per item shipping.
But you have only 80 items listed. My wife sold antique and vintage jewelry at antique shows. She would jokingly say that you needed to being 1,000 items to sell 10. That may have been an exaggeration but not all that big an exaggeration. Most jewelry sellers brought many times the items than they were going to sell.
Since many of your listing are BIN/Best Offer, you may wish to consider checking your Buyer Management settings as well as removing any "immediate payment required" options from your listings.
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.
Either of these, once the BUYER ID is forced into the program, eliminates combined orders for one shipping price as well. At a time when sales are slow, discouraging buyers is probably not a good plan.
What I see isn't enough to cause you loss of sales. But I would definitely change the font style and size in your description. I use a Desktop and it is small to me plus the font style isn't smooth and easy like you see the font used here in our posts.
The next thing I would suggest. Have you ever considered sending offers to your watchers? Give that some though. You don't have to cut your pricing by some rock bottom price. When I do it, I do around 10% or so. Give or take some, depending on the item. It works very well for me.
Sending offers to interested buyers
If a buyer watches your item or adds it to their cart, you can send them special offers. Here's how:
SelectSend offer beside the eligible item (orEligible to send offers, if you're using Seller Hub).
Not all listings are eligible. Eligibility is determined by a number of factors, including age of listing, listing format, and rules that manage the number of offers buyers receive
Items must be in the buyer's cart for at least 2 days to send an offer
Select an offer price.
The amount must be at least 5% less than the Buy It Now price for items under $200, 3% for items between $200 and $1,000, and 2% for items over $1,000
Shipping will not be included in this price
In Seller Hub, if you don't want to let buyers counter your offer, selectDon't allow counteroffers.
Add a message to buyers.
Select Send offer to buyers.
If you need any help or have any questions at all, please feel free to ask.
You have some beautiful items. As I looked through them, I found a few things I thought my wife would like. So i put 3 of your items in my cart, went to check-out, and was going to request combined shipping. And eBay won't let me. It says: "You can't request combined shipping for items that require immediate payment." With what you sell, I'd think most buyers purchase multiple pieces. This really hurts sales.

I agree with you and that is an interesting issue. I had not realized this. Were you using a mobile device or a desktop?
I'm going to tag some people that should be able to help guide us on this.

Hey @mam98031 I'm happy to help clear this up. It is true that when a seller requires immediate payment, there is not an option for the buyer to request a total from the seller. Here is a snippet from our internal documentation:
Hey @ettajane63, take a look at this list and see which of these might apply to you. If it is indeed the immediate payment being required, and you wish to turn that off, you can do so here.
The op's listings has combined shipping set up already. They charge .50 for each additional item on the listings that i looked at so that could have been the reason you couldn't ask for combined shipping. It's possible that ebay gave you a generic message rather than a factual one.
It was just pointed out to me that the discounts the op set up are per category so if a buyer tried to purchase items from different categories the shipping would not be combined. I do not know if taking off IPR would allow for an invoice request if just some of the items had combined shipping set up.

Request total error message through the cart is always pretty specific so the notice saying the block is due to IPR is accurate.
Combined shipping rules set up through shipping preferences and through listings will not prevent an invoice request.
Shipping discounts set up through promotions manager will prevent an invoice request (last I checked).
If the seller removes IPR that will open their items up to invoice requests, but since they have combined ship rules in place based on category, they probably don't want to do that.

I'm sure your views & watchers are folks who have to just window shop until the next time they have some spare cash.
You just got one sale = ) My daughter will love that July charm bracelet.
