Listing old x-ray displayer
I’m trying to list an old 1960s Star X-Ray displayer / viewer. There are several others currently listed and recently sold. eBay says I’m trying to list a prohibited item, but clearly others are listed, so it’s likely a problem with my wording. Can someone advise wording related to this device that would not get flagged by eBay?

·5 months agoI would list it as a "viewer" or "light box".

·5 months agoWonder who buys radiographic view boxes and what they use them for, now that almost all systems do not involve actual Xray film.

·5 months agoYou can use them as a tracing light box or to look at photo negitives or slides.

·5 months agoThere use to be a large collecting market for old antique medical devices. I think there still is to some extent.
I also could see an artist using it in some way.

·5 months agoOne of the local hospitals has a long hallway, going from the hospital to the parking garage, in which they installed glass showcases. They have all kinds of antique medical equipment and other items displayed in those showcases. Fortunately, I haven't been in that hospital for many years but when I was, it was fun to look at those displays.

·5 months agoSometimes ebay takes down items which are perfectly fine. I've had this happen, have had to reach out to the agents with evidence (quotes from their policy) showing my items were allowed. If you are sure your item is allowed try reaching out to the agents on instagram. You have at least a chance they will listen to you.

·5 months agoA x-ray viewer consists of a box with one side made of glass with a light bulb in it.
No possible way it should be restricted.
Try calling it a radiography viewer.
Every time I see something like this it makes the idea of ai taking over the world seem ridiculous

·5 months agoThere are many items here being listed & sold that should not be, Some get caught & others do not, Don't try to keep listing it or you could put your account in jeopardy!

·5 months agoJust because others are listed and some have been sold, doesn't mean they are allowed to be sold here.
Some shady sellers find a work around to list prohibited items, until they are caught or reported.

·5 months agoProbably should not be prohibited.
An apparently improved bot has decided it is.
Previously existing listings probably survive,
It is highly likely that if you attempt to change the wording to get the item listed, you will be marked as a repeat offender and action could be taken against your selling account.
Is it worth it for this hard to pack and ship item?

·5 months agoIt's like speeding on the highway - not everyone is caught - you got caught. So, just because someone else got away with it, doesn't mean you will.
I suppose it has something to do with stating X-Ray in the title and description.
