Listing of light items with multiple quantities available.
I have a few listings (small electronic parts) that have multiple quantities available. I had a learning moment this morning when I saw a person ordered 10 each of two different items (first time I have sold with > 1 quantity). The $25 he was charged for combined shipping I knew was way too high and that I'd be refunding a lot of what he paid for shipping. I have now figured out that by default Ebay multiplies the order quantity by the stated package weight for a quantity of one.
These parts I am selling are rather light and a large quantity doesn't really affect shipping cost much.
Here is what I'd like: Set up the listing so that I use calculated shipping (price varies by customer destination) and that the shipping cost to the buyer does not change with quantity ordered.
I have researched into shipping rules and it maybe seems the system isn't flexible enough to do this. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

OP8 months agoThanks to you both. My suspicions were right that calculated shipping doesn't really cover this situation well. I made 3 flat rate shipping rules and assigned them to the 6 listings and we will see how it goes!

Continue to sell them individually.
Make the shipping $5 (or whatever) for the first item, $0 for each additional item.
They pay $5 shipping whether they order 1 or 100.

·8 months agoa) Revise your listings by entering a zero or a dollar amount into the rectangle for Each Additional Item.
b) Before you create a listing, you can create Combined Shipping Rules. It takes time and effort to master. Then you can apply the rules you create to the future listings you create.
