Listing flagged as counterfit
I made a listing for minidiscs, and eBay flagged them as counterfeit. There's other listing like mine that I modeled my listing off of. I tried contacting eBay support on the phone, but the appeal was eventually denied. I've been selling on eBay off and on for a few years now, and I've never had this happen to me before. Is there anything else I can still do, or will I just not be allowed to sell these on eBay?

·4 months agoThere's a very good chance the listing you copied also got flagged.
My best advice, don't sell it here. Use FBM or Craigslist.

·4 months agoThere is nothing you can do. Do not relist this item. Just because others have listed minidiscs and weren't removed yet doesn't mean they haven't been removed or won't be removed. All you need to focus on is your listing. You listed it, it was removed, find another website which allows the listing or don't list it all together.

·4 months ago@braun-81 Find someplace else to sell them. Not worth risking another spanking or worse by trying again. I woke up to find a listing that had been up for a couple of years taken down due to a copywrite violation. It was a set of drinking glasses. There is no violation, but because the AI bot is currently at a sensitive level, it is subject to be pulled down again.
A couple of years ago when I was selling HBC, the bot got me. I appealed and the appeal was granted. eBay actually put the listing back up. By the next day the bot got me again. I just tossed the item, because it is hard to list supplements elsewhere I sell.
The glasses that were taken down - honestly eBay is doing me a favor. They are not going to sell - it was a bad buy on my part. I think they were actually in a bulk buy I did, so it isn't a big deal. I will throw them up on Mercari or Poshmark for a while. Maybe. Or they will go in the donate pile. I'm not going to spend too much time on them since I have better stuff.
So, find someplace else to sell the ones you have. If you get some different ones, try again. It is likely you did not do anything wrong - as long as you are sure they are legit. Double check to make sure. I picked up some New Era hats over the weekend - one in the batch was fake. I noticed the stitching was off on tag. I barely touched the thread and the whole thing unraveled. lol. I hit my light on the sticker on the bill and sure enough, no logo. The rest are legit, thankfully. It is easy for something fake to slip in when you are sourcing from 3rd parties.
