I wanted to list an item, but I could not find any listing on eBay or Google to determine pricing, I even typed the maker's name by itself and found a couple of sites that mention the name, but no similar product was shown, I was not sure if I should list as an auction since there are no products active or sold for that maker. But I listed it any way auction style starting at $50, a price I am willing to sell it for, and to my surprise it got 18 views, 6 watchers, and a bid at the starting price within the first 3 hours. Where do those buyers come from? Amazing, I thought no one was going to look at it.

I'm as confused as @gurlcat on this one.
I'm not sure whether you're thinking out loud, looking for advice or posting a riddle.
It is evidently rare enough that it's the only one currently listed however I assume people have it in their saved searches. There appears to be a demand based on those who've viewed, watched and bid.
