Listed 2 similar items. One is at the top of the search results and the other is at the very bottom

They're two different color variations of the same item. I made the title different so it doesn't look like duplicates and the pictures aren't the same. The prices are very similar.

Why did one end up as the last listing in the search results and is there a way to bring it up closer to the top with the other listing?

Also what's the deal with listings no longer showing the amount sold? I don't see any settings for that and it only makes things more difficult when trying to determine a price for your own items.

You have not provided any information for us to help you. We need to know:

What is the sort order of your search?
What is the search criteria of your search?
What are the two item numbers?

Without that information we cannot possible help you. There are hundreds of factors that go into search placement.

If the color is different, then it would not be considered a duplicate listing.

IDK that anyone can accurately explain why the differences in the search return. Ebay has never released and will not ever release how they determine placement in the search returns.

But congratulations for the one at the top. There are a few things we do know about what goes into the Search return. Being a new seller, you get a little boost, which is a good thing.

Don't let this drive you crazy. You won't be able to get a clear answer on your question. But welcome to Ebay and I hope you have a very successful selling experience.

I'm not new on my seller account. I believe being top rated boosts placing.

If priced competitively I've found that things usually appear towards the top, and both of these are priced within a couple dollars of each other and both are less than what other sellers are asking. I didn't know if there was a tweak I could make to bring the other up from the bottom.

It does, as many things do. But I'm unsure how you expect us to respond when you start off giving us limited information. Seeing the account you listed the item with is important and a reasonable assumption it was with the account you posted with.
