lack of communication
Summary: lightningwholesale, a long-time eBay seller, expressed frustration over difficulties in contacting eBay's customer service and issues with uniform delivery rules affecting seller ratings. grann-4629 suggested checking eBay's policies and filing not received claims if necessary. ten_o_nine noted that customer service reps may not be able to implement changes. mam98031 provided detailed instructions on how to contact eBay through various channels. stuff4divas mentioned a recent policy update regarding delivery delays, but lightningwholesale noted discrepancies in the implementation.
A couple of things:
First why does it seem impossible to talk to anyone at Ebay about issues?
Note I have been a seller over twenty years but still cant speak to anyone.
Second: The same rules apply with regards to late delivery if you sell one item or several thousand. Most sellers have had some issues with the post office and getthing things delivered late.
I do feel like there should be some changes made and it would be nice to talk to someone but I dont know how to make that happen

·2 weeks ago@lightningwholesale keeping up with eBay announcements is advised. here is one such announcement made on the August Seller News>
From August, eligible delivery delays won’t hurt your seller rating if you ship on time with an eBay label.

·2 weeks agoBecause you seem to be unaware of how to talk to someone at Ebay doesn't mean there is no way to talk with someone at Ebay.
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
Things have changed in recent months and Ebay is not offering customer service on any site other than Ebay and Instagram right now.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Even if you talk to someone, it would be a CSR who can't help you with any changes.

OP2 weeks agoWelcome to the crowd, I have tried I think the best case might be if everyone who gets into a position where a verbal answer from someone would help needs the write (letter) and mail it to the main office and maybe should be addressed to the CEO maybe they could and would fix it.

Issues with eBay or a member can usually be resolved without human intervention. Check their Policies to find out how to resolve, or post your issues here and maybe we can help.
You have 30 days after the last estimated delivery date provided by eBay on the listing to file a not received claim ... read the INR Policy for details.
