just can't get international shipping to work
Hi,
I sold some items in May and shipped to Belgium. I had to contact eBay to reset my international settings, but things went smoothly. Now I have more sales to Belgium and it just won't work. I fill in all boxes, including HS tariff code. The Total Value and Package Weight do not light up and they should. The value is $40 and the weight 8 oz., so that's not a problem. The purchase shipping label tab lights up, but it doesn't work.
When I press the tab, the message is "it was not possible to generate label. Something is wrong. Please try again later.
I would appreciate any help.

OP3 years agoWhen using EIS, the label specifics look the same as an international label. It does not look like a domestic label, despite going to the eBay depot. Only when it prints is it addressed to the eBay depot. In California, it goes to the City of Industry. Anyway, I just tried again, using the same info, the same way and it worked. Must have been a glitch.
Thanks for all responses.

·3 years agoThanks for posting the label info, I have never used EIS, didn't realize that there is a non-standard input field for the customs info. That is a big improvement over the old GSP that just guessed based on the listing category. The guessing led to overcharges to buyers in some cases such a VAT exempt item listed in a Category that is usually subject to VAT.

·3 years agoThe OP is using EIS which is why eBay won't let them print an International label.

·3 years agoYour listings appear to be offering eBay International Shipping, these orders ship to the eBay depot in Glendale Heights IL and are forwarded from there.
When using eBay International Shipping (EIS) you cannot ship them directly yourself.
