Junk communication

When I scout articles like the one I'm contemplating listing for sale it triggers email and offers to buy, which I have no intent to. That junk communication (spam) is irritating and the easy of setting a preference without blocking other interests doesn't seem to exist. I prefer to not make eye contact with a panhandler. Anybody have a suggestion?

·4 months agoThe Ebay system is designed to SELL items.
One of the ways they encourage sales is these follow-up to visit emails and offers which Ebay believes help make sales.
Ebay does not care if they annoy sellers who intend to compete with the existing offers. I am quick on the trigger to delete these messages, notifications and emails when they arrive.
Usually, they are an excellent indicator that an item is in over-supply for current demand.

Personally, I find it quite easy to ignore any offers that ebay (or sellers) may send. But I do skim them because on occasion, I see an offer for an item I want at a reduced price.
If you want to revise settings, go here:

·4 months agoThis may be too simplistic, but I've discovered that it's pretty easy to ignore anything you have no interest in pursuing. It's like shopping at WalMart or Aldi and just not going down the aisles you don't care about.

·4 months agoWell this is what happens when you agree to the terms and conditions Ebay has set. If you don't agree you don't have to be a user of this platform.

·4 months agoUse a different ID to comp prices - to be honest, it bugs me, too but it's what it is - now, it's not a horrible thing to see how your competition handles their business, but for me, it's seeing the ebay notification and realizing it's NOT a sale that hurts the most
