July Seller Update - Need To Change ALL Pre-Loved Clothing Conditions Again?
I am hoping against hope that I am misunderstanding the July seller update. Even though new item conditions are only appearing in a limited number of new pre-loved categories, it appears to say ALL pre-loved clothing will switch to "Good" condition. Am I reading that correctly? Why would categories not affected change? With 2000+ listings, this took a great amount of effort the first time. I don't want to, and actually probably will not, do it again. Anyone have any different interpretation?

·1 year agoOn August 5 EBAY will automatically change pre-owned items to a rating of "good". You need to review all your items and update to correct rating. This applies to the following categories:

OP1 year agoThanks for this response. That is helpful and hopeful! I was going by the Seller update which says this :
Next steps
These conditions will be available on your new and existing listings from August 5.
On this date, any existing ‘Pre-owned’ listings for pre-loved fashion items will automatically change to the ‘Pre-owned - Good’ condition. You’ll need to review these to make sure this condition accurately reflects each item. If needed, you can easily edit and choose a more suitable option from the new options.
If it only applies to the new categories within pre-loved getting the new conditions, EBay should have made that clear, and not said "ANY" listings "for existing pre-loved fashion items" would be changed.
I am just going to watch one of my "Excellent" condition items. If it changes, I'll have my answer!

·1 year agoI believe you are misunderstanding.
Preowned clothing is already done.
Now eBay is expanding to other fashion categories like jewelry, bags, accessories, sneakers.
You do not have to re-do your clothing listings.
If you have listings in other fashion categories, those will be updated Aug 5 to "good" and require updates to fair or excellent, as applicable.
There is a full list of affected categories in the FAQ at the bottom of this page:

·1 year agoWhile I can't help but think we may have to revisit the listings they do mention a bulk editor. I do want to thank you for posting this because I hadn't reviewed the news until I read your post.
