Jewelry Authenticity Guarantee
Can someone please tell me why a Gold Necklace selling for over $500 qualifies for Authenticity Guarantee but a Gold Watch chain that is selling for over $500 is not? Why wouldn’t eBay want to protect buyers and sellers of all gold items?

·7 months agoAuthentication is is determined by category. I don't know if watch chains fall into a relevant category for AG, but I do know that nefarious sellers can avoid the AG by listing in the wrong category so be wary when buying items that should have the AG but don't.

OP7 months agoThank you! I appreciate your response. As a long time seller, I actually want to list the item for authentication so my buyers feel comfortable with the transaction. I’m surprised with the price of gold, that eBay doesn’t recognize that all fine jewelry and watch categories should qualify for this service
