It's gotta be the heat...slowing sales.
A while back when we (on the North Eastern seaboard) were experiencing high heat
and humidity (like most of the country) sales were way down.
Now we (on the North Eastern seaboard) are experiencing cool weather, as maybe the
rest of the country might be experiencing and funny...sales are increasing.
It seems the heat plays a role in slow sales.

·2 years agoCosts an arm and a leg to keep this place - I wouldn’t even say cool but mostly at a compatible with life temperature - and AC season keeps starting earlier and lasting longer. That’s money I don’t have to shop on eBay and why I keep my thrifting to $10 once a week in the summer.

·2 years agoI'm in the Northeast. Plenty of hot, humid days.
I'm seeing daily patterns I have seen in past summers. Slow weekends, decent Fridays and Mondays and overall lower sales when I look at monthly totals.
If I wanted to try to do something about it, I would list more.

·2 years agoAs do floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and any number of other weather related and natural disasters. Just one of a multitude of variables that impact sales that go along with what you are selling .

·2 years agoWhen I sold here I would notice what time of year selling slowed down, right after Christmas, in May before summer and in July/Aug when schools start and I would sell accordingly. I usually made my most money here from Sept to December.

·2 years agoWe have been over 100 degrees (hit 120 on several days) for the last couple of weeks with the long term forecast for more of the same for the next month at least.
Actually I would suggest that oppressive heat INCREASES sales as no one wants to go out into that furnace.
Once it cools down they can't wait to get out of the house.

·2 years agoIndeed. This week has been the first time we've been lower than the 90s here in over a month and you'd better believe I have been outside constantly.
