Item not received.
A buyer opened an item not received request. The next day he messaged me he received it. How do I resolve this? Item didn't have any tracking.

The fact that the buyer messaged you saying they received it is a good sign. As others suggest, politely ask the buyer to close the case.

·1 year agoYeah, no, it'll go away when eBay refunds the buyer if the buyer doesn't close it themselves.

·1 year agoEbay does NOT refund if the tracking is showing delivered.

·1 year agoThe buyer needs to close the INR before Ebay refunds.

OP states NO Tracking.

·1 year agoThank you. Sorry, I don't know how I missed that. Can't say that the OPs post was a wall of text and hard to follow. It's all on me, my bad.

·1 year agoeBay can see the message from the buyer and that should be enough to get eBay to close the case for you if the buyer won't. First ask the buyer to close the case. If they don't, then use the message to close it.

·1 year agoUnless, of course, its a message that might be the least bit construed as an attempt to take a sale off site - Then they are all ears...
In my opinion, the way this place operates is reprehensible...

Maybe in an alternate universe.

·1 year agoToo negative. I have called eBay in cases where I am doing a switch replacement and CS have looked at the messages between me and the buyer and have been satisfied and not refunded the buyer even though a case was opened for a return. Yes, the message will matter. You will just have to call them before the case escalates. At least the seller should attempt it. Telling the seller they have no chance is not helpful.

·1 year agoYeah, it kind of matters that you added the part about having to call eBay yourself to get this done. Just telling the seller that eBay will "see the message" and "close the case for you" is not helpful.

OP1 year agoThanks. That's what I did.

·1 year agoEbay will NOT go by the message a buyer sends. But once the tracking shows Delivered, that is what Ebay requires before they would close the INR. Tracking has to be updated.

·1 year agoYou will need to politely ask your buyer to close the dispute, because you are not protected without Delivery Confirmation.
