My ebay store was registered with the information of a Chinese company. All my products are stored in the warehouse in the United States. I want to sell my products in the US region, but the shipping location of the products in the link cannot be changed to places other than China, and my delivery service option is also forced to ship for speedpak. Please help me. What should I do?

·4 months agoForward deployed inventory need to be inventory you own which is stored in the US.
The approval process includes proof you own the inventory stored in the warehouse.
"My goods are stored in the overseas warehouse we cooperate with" sound like a coverup for an arrangement to have the owner of the products drop ship.
There is an excellent chance that when you apply for approval, Ebay will recognize the company you cooperate with and ignore your application.

·4 months agoYou won't be approved. You have one sale in the last year and you apparently did not ship the item.
Chinese sellers attempting to drop ship from American companies rarely last more than a month on ebay, and that is if they even manage to get started in the first place.
If someone hired you to open an account in your name and dropship then they are doing that so you burn up your own account and you will be fired the second ebay bans your account, and then won't ever be able to open another ebay account.

·4 months agoWow you have to buy/lease/rent a warehouse in the US then pay people to staff it?
That sounds expensive.
How do you make any profit?

Here is the eBay policy that applies in this situation. You need to apply for permission to use a forward-deployed warehouse. I believe that you will have to have some (recent) experience with selling successfully from your own region before you can be approved for forward-deployed inventory.

OP4 months agoYes, I'm a Chinese seller and I live in China. I didn't hide my true location. My goods are indeed placed in the overseas warehouse in the United States. Why doesn't the ebay platform allow me to ship from the US address?

·4 months agoGenuine Question: what happens if someone files an Item Not As Described case on something your warehouse shipped? You aren't there to physically survey the inventory, let alone pack or ship it yourself, so you have no way of knowing that someone is going to get exactly what they ordered. If something ends up being defective or even the wrong color or size, they can file a case, and Ebay generally sides with the buyer.
Even if you're confident this won't happen, some buyers even lie about INAD cases, and there's very little you can do.

·4 months agoYour listings show the items are located in: Located in: Ontario, California, China.
I didn't know Cali was in China.
You need to be approved to dropship from the US.
Unless your supplier is legit, you probably won't be approved.

Assuming you actually own the items you claim are in a US warehouse, how are you able to resolve issues such as your buyer had? They didn't get their item, you aren't around to know whether it was even shipped and the buyer got a refund.
I foresee a short ebay selling career for you.

OP4 months agoMy goods are stored in the overseas warehouse we cooperate with. When I need to ship them, I can fill in the order information on their platform. Relevant staff will follow up on the order and ship it. A logistics number will also be generated for me to check logistics trajectory.
Now my biggest confusion is why the ebay platform doesn't allow me to ship locally in the United States. I can only choose to ship from China, and the delivery method can only be speedpak. Is there a solution?

·4 months agoYou need to be physically with your inventory. To have forward deployed inventory you need special permission from eBay to operate in this manner. All sellers are required to own, pack and ship their sold items. You can also have a team but each member of that teams needs to be registered & operate in the same country. To do anything else, you selling will be short lived on ebay

·4 months agoFollow the link @lacemaker3 provided. Its a difficult road, & if you have never done this before, eBay isn't going to let you learn on their platform. I typically say, if you need to ask for help on how to do this, you cant do it here or anywhere. When you apply, don't be surprised if you never get a response
