ISO experienced seller near me to sell my items
Hi, i’m located in Baltimore MD and have several sellable (based on sold items) items, but i am terrible at all of the steps in the process so am looking for a partner to help. Open to posting via commission or possibly hourly rate. If you might be interested, please let me know your proposal.
i have art collectibles, fine crystal collectibles, a few vintage clothing items, some collectible housewares.

OP1 year agothanks for your input, yes i guess i’m looking for someone to consign them with, but do not know how to find that person. i don’t think i’m better off with local shops or marketplace though due to the value of items and other logistics. i guess i was hoping for a better cut on consignment, but would consider 40% for someone who would truly handle it all and know the ways to get better/higher prices.

·1 year agoIf you are looking for somebody to basically consign the items to and have them use their account to create the listings and sell the items that may be a difficult challenge given the risks and tax implications. Even if you find such an individual they are probably going to want 40+% of the net profit. In this scenario you may be better off looking for a consignment shop or attempting to sell the items through other local venues such as FB marketplace.
If you are looking for somebody to utilize your account to create and list the items and handle the logistics where they are paid an hourly rate remember you will be giving the individual access to a lot of your personal information that is connected to your account. Make sure you find somebody you trust. In order to deduct what you pay the individual for the work you may need to issue them a 1099 so you can deduct the expense off your taxes. There may also be other legal employer/employee obligations depending on the extent of the work.
