Is this the answer to why sales fell off?
Hi fellow sellers,
Like many sellers, my sales fell off a cliff in September. This happens every time eBay makes a change in the coding for the listings. Yesterday I noticed that my listings show a 'payment policy number' next to the price and a 'shipping policy' number next to the shipping option. This is new for me, maybe others noticed it before. When I wanted to add a shipping option to an existing listing, I had to access the shipping policy and select from a drop down menu.
This doesn't help get our sales back up, but maybe it's reason they fell off. I think, in a while, things will get back to normal. Please don't get on me with snarky comments, I just thought it would be helpful for sellers to know this.

Does that mean every time your sales drop, it's due to a ebay change?

·1 year agohaving business policies has nothing to do with "sales".
If you do not want to use "business policies" you can opt out there on the right using this link.
My eBay Account: Business policies
Sometimes my shipping policies get messed up usually when I try to change up the shipping in my business policies. I will either see shipping policy copy or shipping with a series of numbers.
When I clean up the policies to just reflect the shipping policy I just click reassign policies. Easy process.
I never seen payment policy changes. I have always used business policies.
My sales were never affected at all by the weird shipping changes.

·1 year agoIf you are seeing a payment policy then ebay has opted you into business policies. You can either set up your own business policies or opt out of them if you want to go back to the way you used to do it. It shouldn't have affected your sales but it will affect you when you are listing items.
