Is there a glitch in eBay of Photos?
I was wondering why I had 10+ items sold yesterday and 0 today.
I done nothing out of the ordinary.
Are my listings showing up?
I got this red banner on old and new items.
Please let me know if my items are being shown.

·1 year agoJust posting to say I noticed this error message was gone as of late last night. Probably never a real issue

·1 year agoI also no longer see it, and to my knowledge, no buyer saw it or was affected by it, it only appeared when viewing your own listings. It should have had no impact on sales to my understanding.

·1 year agoPossible reasons for photo glitch:
The US Government shutdown
The 2 Hurricanes in the atlantic ocean caused a electric imbalance and caused the glitch
A dropshipper listed 100, 000 stock photos from Walmart and the ebay bots went haywire
It is Trump's fault
It is the aliens (not illegal but space aliens)
Ebay may be trying to delay listings until 10/4 shipping price increases so they make more money
Human error.
Yes the answer is human error. I checked, my listings are available to purchase.

·1 year agoSometimes I see that message when making a listing and the picture isn't
big enough and I need to re-size.
Sales have been so bad I have no idea what the "Buyers" are seeing or
no seeing.

OP1 year agoThanks everyone for responding.
The whole point here was to know if there was a glitch.
Now imagine ALL those sellers who do not come here to read daily and do not know there is a glitch and they spend most of their precious 'time' today trying to fix something that isn't broken on their end.
I started to do that and decided to come here after about 20 minutes thinking it was me...LOL

Hey @12345jamesstamps! I just checked and there is an open ticket for sellers experiencing issues with their active listings showing an error: "Your listing is successful but there's a problem with your Gallery picture. See details". The ticket is ALERT16219 and is being worked by our Product team to have a resolution asap.

·1 year agoI have it for all my listings too, reduced the size of one picture, same "error". Funny though, all of eBay's links on the 'See Details" page don't work. Therefore, "Your "See Details" Page loaded successfully, but there is a problem with the links".
Glad there is nothing wrong.

·1 year ago@12345jamesstamps You do know you can just use another browser, not signed in, and see what the world sees when looking at your listings? (Edge vs. Chrome vs. Firefox etc.)
You should always have 2 browser types all set up, 1 you use regularly, 1 you always clear history/cache/passwords etc. and then see a site 'incognito'.

It was more of a question if this was a glitch or a problem on my side personally.
I am listings items currently and when I do that I also delete the photos after listing the items...and it would be a pain to re-photo all the items I am currently listing.

·1 year agoI’m the same so when I saw these errors I was having trouble listing from old listings to new ones. I also just do a sell similar from an old listing to a new 1 so I can just change a few details.
What a pain this is!!!

·1 year agoYesterday, I was ending listings and doing sell similar, but then when I went to bulk edit them to resell them , they showed I had no unsold items, so I had to go through my store categories 1 by 1 to and find them and repost them.

Just for this possible scenario, that's the reason why I save all of the photos used in my listings, easily highly categorized in albums under "Pictures" on my laptop/in the cloud. I have up to about 20K photos stored, and occasionally go in and bulk-delete those in files I know I'll never need after the items have been sold, or complete files in categories in which I no longer list - like DVDs and CDs.
If my photos were to be lost at eBay or need to be re-posted, it would still be a major PITA, though, and actually happened once in the very early days of eBay... Anyone remember waaaaaayyy back then, when eBay had to temporarily shut down worldwide because they refused to have back-up servers in case of a big blow up? Yep, it happened about 27 years ago, right after Sun Microsystems told eBay that they needed a full back-up system for system-wide outages, and they refused. I remember because I worked at Sun back then.
Hopefully this probably won't be that serious.

My SOLD listings are all without the warning and everything seems to be OK with those.

·1 year agoI came here looking to see if anyone else had this issue. I listed a couple of things earlier today and didn't see it. Now I'm seeing the red banner on everything, including the one I just listed now.
Being a lot of people are seeing it, it's obviously a them not us issue, but it's hard to say if its legit or not as my wife looked at a few of my listings from her e-bay account and said she sees the pic.
I try to be patient because this is a vast site and I'm sure it takes a lot of work to keep everything running smooth, but it seems like there's a new bug or glitch happening more and more often.
Get's frustrating and I can't imagine who people who are making a living-or significant and needed money-on this site feel.

realllllllllly annoying because there is no way to "fix" the problem (that does not actually seem to be a problem when I check my listings)

·1 year agoAlso when I try to see only my items for sale I don't have the option to put what I am looking for so once again more glitches. Last week it was shipping labels that had an error message for a few days.

It's gotta be just one more eBay "Glitch du Jour".

·1 year agoIt used to be that new listing activity sparked increased visibility/traffic/sales. But, while there are certain times of the year that my sales peak (usually the first two months of the year), for a number of years, my sales have come in waves, as if ebay has some way of rotating seller visibility or what sellers are being promoted at a specific time or something.

OP1 year agoI have been listing new items daily and usually have the cheapest prices in comparison of other sellers in my category of same items...which I do look up other seller's items.
And have updated old items with 'free international shipping' in the titles lately.
It is an eBay glitch as others are mentioning.

·1 year agoif you have a store you can do a sale event, doesn't cost anything and you can edit it as desired, % off, days on site,, price range, start date/time, end date/time, etc/etc you can set it for a few days or 2 months or however long you want it to last.
it always defaults to 30% off and 2 months but that can all be edited.
you go to marketing then click on create discount and it is in the drop down box along with coupons, etc

·1 year agoWhen I click on your store I see 4,200+ listings and nothing looks out of the ordinary. Photos appear to be showing up as a well.
