Is the produce legitimate or counterfeit!! Prove it!!
Summary: yumagal shared their frustration with eBay's repeated suspensions due to accusations of selling counterfeit skincare products, despite purchasing them legitimately. They sought advice on proving their products are genuine. albertabrightalberta suggested the issue might be related to using stock images, while kensgiftshop also hinted at this being a potential cause. funfactorychannel highlighted that companies might use counterfeit claims strategically, and mam98031 warned against relisting items flagged by eBay. onefootflipper advised avoiding eBay altogether for reselling these products due to policing by companies.
I have been a patron of eBay since 1999. I have both sold and purchased products from your customers. Recently I had the opportunity to purchase skin care products at a reasonable price and listed them on eBay. Time after time I was told my products may be counterfeit and I was given 10 days off (could not list any products during that time). Ten days was up and two days later I was again given 10 days where I could not add new listings. The last time I was off for 10 days and before my time was up, I was given another 10 days. I got upset and took all of my listings off line.
I have items to sell. I purchase legitimate skin-care products. I would like to be allowed to sell these items on eBay, without constantly being accused of selling counterfeit products. What can I do to prove my products are legitimate?
There are other sellers on eBay who purchase the products at the same location where I purchase mine. They do not seem to get booted like I do. Is there something, anything I can do to prove my products are legitimate products and not counterfeit? Anything I can to so that I will not get penalized. It is interfering with my business.

·1 week ago@yumagal Are you trying to relist the same items that Ebay told you NOT to? If you are doing that, that is what is causing your little vacations. They typically will sanction sellers that do not follow the instructions given in the emails sent regarding items that have been removed.

·1 week agoWhat did the email say? If the reported by the company itself, i advise you not to relist it. They are using counterfeit to get rid of listings. Just boycott that company.
Some companies I understand they do this as they have very good warranty.
Some companies do it thinking they make more money if they buy from them instead of you, but in reality your a free sales person. Now if you dont buy their product, they make less and out of someone selling their product.
Some companies still figuring out ecommerce.

·1 week agoI wonder if the rights owners are reporting you for unauthorized use of their stock images. Most companies' websites have a copyright policy that disallows the use of their materials by others for commercial use. And reselling is commercial use.
FYI, I will NEVER buy from a seller who uses someone else's pictures, whether the manufacturer's images or those of another seller.
I want to see actual pictures of the actual item I'll receive if I buy.
As a buyer, how do I know that you aren't using pictures of the manufacturer but sending counterfeit items to the buyer?
IMO, a seller who is too lazy to take their own pictures and write their own descriptions is not a seller who deserves my money.

OP1 week agoI agree with you, I take my own photos and write my own details. The problem is, boxes are sealed and I do not open them if they are completely sealed in a plastic shrink-wrap. Therefore, I cannot take photos of the items inside.
