Is it just me?
Is it just me, or is it a waste of time trying to list things on Ebay unless you have a store? I get one or two views for my stuff. I used to get 100's of views. What happened with ebay and why? It seems like they would want you to sell your stuff. I use mercari now.

·3 years agoRecently, eBay changed how views are counted and it has been quite a departure from the expected norm. For more information, see link to the policy below:

·3 years agoTo get views on eBay now, you have to pay to play. Meaning that I won't get any views unless I promote my listings...

·3 years agoNo you do not have to pay to get views. See my prior post. Creating hotlinks in your ads and specific keywords in your ad headlines can generate tons of impressions and views.

·3 years agoSorry to say but no one will ever buy that junk drawer lot. One reason is you do not even say in the title what is for sale. Secondly no one will ever pay $15 for you to ship that junk drawer lot. Suggest lowering that shipping to $7 and put in your title what you are selling.

I don't have a store and I get views all the time. Use your social media buttons where it states "Share" at the top right hand side of the page. You might want to add some more listings too. Junk drawer listings aren't terribly popular. Just some suggestions.
Good luck.

·3 years agoYou only have one item for sale. It does not even look like a junk drawer lot, rather a few random items. It's listed in other collectible lots. What is collectible about nail clippers?
A store is best if you have lots of inventory, you save on listing fees. A store is best for sorting inventory. Buyers don't really visit eBay stores. They shop by search.

Where did the phrase "junk drawer" originate from? I see it all the time now since 2020. LOL.

Don't know where it came from, but has been around for much longer than that! 🙂 Every kitchen seems to have at least one. I have two! lol

·3 years agoWell, your profile name is 'revwatch'. Your profile photo is a bunch of watches. Yet you only have one item for sale and it's not a watch. And the title of that one ad is 'junk drawer lot' which is not specific at all. How many ebay customers do you think come on the site and type in 'junk drawer stuff'? Probably none. Which is why you're not getting any views. If you want more views, post more items to sell, then create hotlinks on your ads that send visitors to your other ads so you RETAIN them, instead of them leaving to go look at someone else's ads.

·3 years agoIt could be the millions of other sellers and the gazillion items listed on the site are competing with you for buyer's attention and spendable income.
Too many sellers, too much merchandise, not enough buyers.

·3 years agoHaving a store or not having a store has no baring on whether or not you make a sale.
You only have one item listed. Try listing more items.
