Is Ebay's A.I. killing business and the platform?
Trying to send additional scans to a customer....
3 additional interior pages , customer wants clean product...
It looks like the guard dog that Ebay set loose to tend to security is killing all the chickens.
If Ebay does not want any communications between my potential customers and me,
then why put the links in ??

Is it the application of Ai to eBay ?
What is the point of Ai creating a description with out knowing the item specifically. It's a ridiculousness.
The buyer gets an in general ai sales pitch with no knowledge of the specific item.
Resulting in dis satisfied buyers
Whoever is coming up with these ideas is not thinking in the broad sense
For years sales at the same level $110-130k per year full time (a poor net indeed) but now it has evaporated.
What one has to know is AI is self determining.It decides to do things with not consulting with a human.It is a terminator assembling is own reasoning.

Watch this and then apply that to eBay.

·2 years agowithout seeing what you were trying to send........don't know how we could judge if incorrect...... if it's info/scans about the item.....you can add them to the listing and so advise the buyer........

·2 years agoDid you send a link to the scans hosted outside of eBay instead of attaching the images to the message? If so that’s why it was stopped.

·2 years agoWhat I noticed is that the OP obscured the info that matters yet they left exposed the buyer user name which is the only thing that needed to be obscured.

·2 years agoToo many 'executives' haven't the faintest idea how AI actually works. It's just a tool, and not a particularly refined one.
ETA: And some applications appear to be producing more and more rubbish now as it devours itself.

·2 years agoBeen saying it for a whole year. Not only with those issues, but search issues, **bleep** listing removals, traffic issues, Ad issues, account issues, no customer support.
Other platforms are taking a page in the AI era and trying to totally replace their humans with it.
It is already backfiring and will bite them in rear soon.

·2 years agoeBays AI is pretty bad and still in its infancy. I kinda doubt it'll improve over the next year.

·2 years agoYour screenshot doesn't show any message text at all. Were the images (I assume) you attached to your original message showing any kind of recognizable text at all? How about the text of your original message?
