International Shipping Program packages delivered to PO Box rather than hub.
Two individual orders sold using the International Shipping Program both show Delivered to PO Box in Carol Stream, IL rather than the typical Delivered to Agent, Left with Individual in Glendale Heights, IL. This was on the 17th and there has been no updates since, which is also unusual as there is typically some sort of update within 24 hours of arriving at their hub. I sell quite a bit using the International Shipping Program and have never had this happen. Does this happened every now and then and I just haven't experienced it yet, is this something new, or is there potentially a problem?

·10 months agoCarole Stream and Glendale Heights are right next to each other. Both are Western Suburbs of Chicago.

·10 months agoI have several eIS shipments be delivered to a PO Box and then move on to the next step on the next business day. Nothing to worry about.

·10 months agoI'm battling jet lag at this moment and can't think straight, but aren't there two basic methods of international shipping through eBay? eBay International Shipping (eIS) goes through Glendale Heights as noted, but the Carol Stream PO Box sounds familiar as well... International Standard Shipping or something like that? eIS is the method where eBay takes over responsibility for the international shipping and delivery, but ISS somehow does not. My thought was that the OP is shipping via the latter instead of the former.
I tried Googling it from here in England where I am at the moment, but Google kept bringing up the second alternative as the UK's Global Shipping Programme instead of whatever the U.S. alternative is.
P.S. Could it be that ISS (through Carol Stream) is the international shipping option for eBay sellers who have not yet been invited into the eIS (Glendale Heights) program?

·10 months agoNo, it seems eIS also has a PO Box in Carol Stream now for delivery of items that are for delivery on a Friday.

OP10 months agoThanks for the information! That gives me some piece of mind. One of the items was fairly expensive and so it fueled some of the worry. I initially did try and do a search to find an answer, but didn't have any luck.

You are correct that there are TWO and both go to a hub.
One is EIS (ebay international shipping)
The other is ESID (ebay international standard delivery)
They both have similar names and are often confused. The first, EIS, replaced the old Global Shipping Program in the US. This is the one with extremely good seller protections. eBay supposedly handles all problems, and even SNAD claims.
The second, ESID, has no such protections other than $100 insurance. It does not cover returns, and the seller is responsible in the case of a SNAD claim to front the cash money for a return from the destination country.
