International Shipping charges
Summary: kaherbig-0 explained they were charged twice for shipping labels, costing them $150, despite opting out of an international shipping program but still encountering international orders. Other participants suggested checking whether First Class International options were still active and verifying shipping details. stephenmorgan advised checking order details to confirm charges, while caldreamer suggested checking site preferences and shipping settings. kaherbig-0 responded that they had opted out but will recheck their listings to ensure the settings are correct.
I'm not new to reselling. I know how to package and weigh something. Twice I have been charged at the time I bought a label and then again after the item was delivered. This has cost me $150. I removed my store from the international program but still had two sales to United Kingdom and Canada for some reason. Is there a way to get my money back?

·1 month agoEBAY will not refund $150 charged to you.
I just checked out your listings, and it still shows you offer "worldwide shipping". If you want to OPT OUT, go to SITE PREFERENCES, SHIPPING PREFERENCES (click OPT OUT on International Shipping).

OP1 month agoI did opt out and I cannot change it again unless I opt back in. I guess I need to check all my listings to make sure. I did a bulk edit and changed the shipping to USPS parcel calculated. Maybe that will work?

OP1 month agoOk. Wish me luck. I bulk edited my store. I'll check my listings again to double check. Thanks for the insight.

·1 month agoAre you absolutely sure you were charged twice?
One of the eBay International shipping services does not charge you for the shipping until after they received the package and determine the cost. As long as you entered the correct shipping details the price should not change from the price you were quoted.
On the charge for the shipping it states the Order Number that the shipping fees are charged to.
Look up your Order Details for the shipments and see if eBay actually deducted the shipping fee initially when you printed the label.
If the new charges for the shipping is also shown on the Order Details as being paid then you have something to challenge.

·1 month ago@kaherbig-0 Are you sure your orders that you were charged on were orders placed through EIS? As others have noted, you also offer Frist Class Package International on your listings. This is not eBay International Shipping. This is a seperate service where you ship the order directly to the buyer rather than an eBay hub, as you do for an EIS order.

·1 month agoDon't know what is going on with the charges after the fact on the Labels, but your most current Listings (if not all) give a First Class Package International option (direct). You may have opted out of eIS, but not International. Probably why you are still getting International Sales.

·1 month agoI have never had a second charge to my account by Ebay International Shipping (EIS).
I see no indication that it is a risk to a seller.
Some of your sold listings show you have offered First Class International shipping which is subject to back charges if you used the inappropriate weight or dimensions.
