International shipping
Hello.
I listed 2 matching cups and 2 matching plates as separate listings. They all match.
I accepted an offer from a buyer in Canada. Combined shipping is not allowed with Ebay International. The customer is now asking if I could relist the 4 items as one lot specifically for her with the agreed to price plus combined shipping to save on her shipping costs. I was going to ship the 2 orders separately.
I really should not have accepted the offer and it would have been best had I disabled international shipping on these items to start.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. In addition, can I use US priority boxes assuming the buyer and I work something out.
Many thanks.

·3 years agoInteresting that sellers can't combine shipping on international orders.
Sound like you want to cancel per buyer's request. Probably best.
How do you want to relist is the big question.
1. Remove International shipping or keep it?
2. Combine the two listings into one since they match. Recalculate the weight & dims. Maybe entertain a handling fee for safe packing materials and fragile / glass labels if you're using new materials.
Remember when packing fragile items, don't do the minimum. Go a little extra for a safe delivery & sale.

This has turned out to be a bit of a hassle.
I tend to be the person who'll go above what's necessary. It's just not worth it this time around.
I think this is the best bet. I'll cancel per address problem and take it from there.

·3 years agoYour best bet is to cancel as "Buyer requested" or "Problem with buyer's address", and relist as two lots, one for each box you were going to use. Make sure the customer knows you can't combine them all into one box before you do that so they don't get mad at you for not doing just one listing. I hope they bring combined shipping to EIS soon, though, so we can avoid this type of hassle! They've promised it, but no sign of it yet.

OP3 years agoI would be shipping to the hub, correct? So US Priority Mail is acceptable? Apologies as I've not yet shipped via Ebay International. I was very familiar with GSP.

·3 years agoYep, it works just like GSP did in that regard. Priority Mail is fine, either flat rate boxes or your own boxes, whichever you like. There are weight and size limits, so you do need to make sure you meet those with the new combined lots: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/shipping-items/setting-shipping-options/ebay-international-shipping-program?id=5348
The following requirements apply to items shipped through eBay International Shipping:
