·3 years agoIt is a very good program and takes away most of the risk sellers have had shipping internationally. Below are a couple links regarding the new EIS system. I hope you will keep an open mind and read through it. It really is a good program.

OP3 years agoi dont know, not complaining. do i sound like im **bleep**ing and moaning? i think its something different than what i used to do twenty years ago since coming back but thank you for the observation....or is that a back handed slap? lol

·3 years agoBecause you have been transitioned into the EIS program. EBay did a less than stellar job of notifying sellers before they were transitioned some got advance mail from eBay some did not. Checking a couple of your listings it appears that when eBay modified your listings not everything was included in the EIS program. You can simply opt out of the program and return to shipping the items yourself but you may want to take a look at the program benefits, especially the seller protection, before you do that.

Quite welcome. I was skeptical of EIS at first but there have been a number of postings on this forum that indicate eBay is standing behind the seller protections they profess, and those protections are excellent and far exceed the limited protection on domestic sales.
There are a couple of limitations to the program at the moment the biggest one being the lack of the ability to do combined shipping but eBay is supposed to be working on that. In the mean time there are ways to work with the buyer on creating custom bundles if they wish to purchase multiple items.
From the buyers perspective it also increases shipping costs since the buyer has to pay for two legs of shipping, the domestic one to the hub and the international one from the hub to the buyers destination. The two leg shipping also potentially creates a longer delivery time.
However, despite the limited constraints I find the program to be a huge benefit to sellers. Personally I have opened up international shipping to a lot of countries I would never have shipped to before due to the risk.

·3 years agoBecause you allow it. You can also ship direct by USPS international without going through the eBay hub. But there are pros and cons so do some due diligence before you opt out.

OP3 years agothanks for the response. in the years of selling, i have always had the items only sell in the usa but international must have been turned on by accident. so yes, "i allowed it." thanks mate and have a great one. cheers

·3 years agothe 3 biggest cons, tracking is non-existent, hitting estimated delivery dates are horrible, & theft (lost packages)

·3 years agoThat's exactly how I view EIS. I'll help the customer understand the service, let them know about the tracking and reassure them if necessary. But, once its to the hub, my part is done.
I've experienced nothing but success with EIS; and I've had quite a few orders.
During covid I didn't ship international due to the unreliability international tracking and hight rate of INR's.
With EIS, I don't give it a second thought. I like the reassurance.

·3 years agoNot with EIS, you are protected from all of that as long as your package arrives at the Ebay hub undamaged and well packaged. You don't have any of those things to be concerned with.

·3 years agoSo I've done multiple of these and they go in an inspection process. I'm guessing they match the listing and if they determine INAD they reject it from going forward.
But because of this process, it is why they are protecting sellers from returns. (Similar to how authenticity guarentee goes beyond just verifying the product is an authentic product but actually matches the listing.)
I'm just guessing though, I haven't experienced a rejection as I feel I describe my products accurately. I sorta want to test it.
