International sales
I sold two items and combined them in one package. The package was lost and eBay paid for the one item but not the other. They both have the same tracking number.

·2 years agoIn the future, if items aren't combined for you, don't combine them, but you can do as suggested by the mentor in that thread and get the buyer's permission to cancel the sales, list whatever you were selling them in a new custom listing and sell them that way. Or just have the buyer put them both in the cart and check out at the same time, that should automatically combine the orders. Keep in mind some buyers for some reasons might not want to combine orders into one shipment, though that's admittedly somewhat unusual. eBay certainly doesn't want you to do that for their eIS shipments though.

·2 years agoUnless the order is combined when you get it, never combine eIS shipments. It leads to exactly this type of problem. You can try to plead your case to customer support, but I wouldn't have high hopes.

·2 years agoWas this an EIS sale? If Ebay paid for the lost package, I suspect it was.
You cannot combine EIS orders in one shipment. Only one order per shipment. The customs declaration, VAT and duties are based on only one order.
The buyer paid for two shipments. Only if both items were on the same order could you combine.

·2 years agoDid you input tracking on each item?...or just the package with one item.
That might be the reason why.
