International sale
I listed a bracelet on eBay. My listings are set for international sales but I want buyers to choose the eBay international shipping to ensure it gets to an eBay hub. I have Chinese buyers who purchase an item to a US address that apparently is freight forwarding which if I understand it right, isn't covered by eBay in the event of an issue. Is there any settings that I can choose that prevents an international buyer from choosing a different shipping option that eBay international shipping? Am I right to understand that eBay doesn't cover a freight forwarding address sale? I have made international sales with the eBay shipping hubs without issue but I have read some horror stories about scammers and freight forwarding addresses so I would like to know if there are settings for this. Thanks for the help!

·8 months agoJust general info.........if the buyer, using a freight forwarder, wants to return.......he has to get the item back to the freight forwarder, as the return label you would issue would be from that ff location....since that's where you mailed it to.

·8 months agoNo, your understanding is actually not correct, or rather, it’s flipped. Buyers who use freight forwarding services forfeit their coverage under the Money Back Guarantee. It doesn’t take away any seller protections. Sometimes you do need to be more proactive if there is an issue the buyer tries to get you to deal with, and there are some freight forwarding companies that the USPS has a habit of not being delivered scans to, or where there can be mismatched zip codes, but in general it is a safe place for you to ship orders.
