International customers having trouble paying (Ebay technical problem)
Summary: randyshotrods is experiencing issues with international customers being unable to pay for invoiced items on eBay due to the platform uncombining invoices and incorrectly indicating that international shipping is not available. Despite confirming all settings, errors persist, and partial invoices complicate the process further. inhawaii shared a similar but successful experience with a sale to Australia. randyshotrods also noted inconsistencies in order visibility and fulfillment, expressing frustration with the system's reliability and seeking potential solutions. The issue appears to be causing frustration due to the lack of seller control over these problems.
Has anyone else had trouble with international customers being able to pay for items that are invoiced?
I have had multiple buyers from overseas that i have invoiced and they are having trouble paying as ebay uncombines the invoices, then says the buyer can't buy the item because I don't ship international, yet everything is clearly set to ship international.
I even went through the whole AI assitant several times that kept saying if they can't pay it's because I don't ship internationally and have the boxes improperly checked, when they are clearly properly checked as they have been for over a decade now.
Is there a fix?
One customer will try several times, buy a few more items and suddenly out of the blue it will let them pay.
Is ebay trying to drive customers away? Between that, not showing even my promoted items in searches for those exact items, as well as having only partial customer orders come up when I search for items they bought by username or even physical name so I have to manually go through and try to look at what they bought sifting through all sold items. Even some partial invoices I have to keep playing with to come up with the full number of items.
Any ideas on the fixes? If not any idea on where to go where everything isn't broken?

OPJul 18, 2026 at 3:17 PMMy customer contacted ebay and they said the seller can either cancel the order (does anyone working at ebay understand the time and lost audience that auction style sellers suffer when they cancel a sale?) or the seller should fix the problem. OK hard to fix an internal ebay programming problem. It isn't new as well. This problem has been persisting for the last few weeks. It's just now affecting other customers.

OP1 month agoYeah it's random. I had a few other sales to Canada that went right through. I have noticed international sales have dropped , so is the problem visibility , being marked as not selling to a country when you do? Too many random things out of sellers control to fix the problem, as you can't have an unknown variable when solving a problem.
Just had a new one. Pulled a customers items up (domestic sale) showed 5 items. I pulled his bag, which had 2 items in it, added the 2 new he bought last night and couldn't find the other item which sold probably 5 or more days ago.
I looked all over searched sold items not yet paid, nothing. Did a deep search and fount that item was in his other order which was paid and shipped. When I clicked refresh on invoice page which I just opened up about an hour ago, that item disappeared.
Holy Cow this is getting ridiculous !
