    International buyer HELP!

An international buyer purchased an item for me, and they live in Germany. The item has experienced multiple delivery attempts, and the tracking shows that it is still in their country, bouncing around in transit. The buyer has since opened a 'did not receive' dispute. I provided the tracking information for the item. The unfortunate part about this situation is that I selected the USPS Priority Mail International label that the buyer paid for, instead of the GSP (Global Shipping Program) eBay label, which I should have used.

Can anyone tell me how I could win this situation? By reading the tracking, it appears that there will be another attempt to deliver the item, and I believe I should at least get the item back before issuing a refund, which I would gladly do.

Respond to the INR case and upload the tracking number.

If there have been multiple delivery attempts, why not suggest to the buyer that they contact the delivery service, whatever it is, and try to make arrangements to have the item delivered?

Go silent and don't do anything more. Are you sure it's GSP, not ESD, EIS, or ESP?

After the 3 business days if the buyer steps in to ask eBay, the bot will check the actual tracking -- as eBay consiiders a delivery attempt, undeliverable, or return to sender to be the same as delivered -- close the case without a refund, and feedback will be automatically blocked or removed. Otherwise the case will close on its own after 21 business days.

The buyer is hoping for a refund, then quickly go pay additional non-ESP customs/pick it up before it is returned.

Are you sure about that? Where does this fact come from? I think that unless there is the magic word "delivered" everything else is considered as not delivered. I just had a buyer in Austria who gave an incorrect address. Tracking showed  "delivery attempt failed - Addressee absent". Addressee did not pick it up and after a week, Austrian Post returned it. I don't think this would be considered as "delivered"

    I agree with an-36344...

There are those buyers who get a refund and a few hours later pick up item at the post office. I have read many posts here about that.

I don't know how long item remains at the post office before it is returned back from Germany. Doing USPS Priority Mail it will bounce around back and forth and either gets accepted or sits in post office and eventually returned to you after so many days(weeks?).

I had an item bounce back and forth since November 10th and finally got delivered the other day or today.

Finally got feedback so I knew it finally got delivered.

Did I contact buyer? Nope, I never contacted this buyer. And here's the kicker....it was an item from San Francisco to Florida. My was USPS Priority Mail but not International...Talk about a long time!

Yes, we learned that from Elvis:

    Return to sender, address unknown
No such number, no such zone

    zaza_3236_0-1701051173787.jpeg

    Return to sender
    Return to sender
    Return to sender
    Return to sender...

See if you can stop hearing that in your head now.
