International Buyer Can't Buy an Item
I have a buyer from Italy that purchased 2 similar items at the same time (add to cart and purchase, not individually) with no issues. They will be shipped via eIS.
Then they sent me a message regarding a 3rd similar item, asking why this 3rd one cannot be shipped to Italy.
The 3 items are all the same items but are 3 different listings, due to conditions/ colors. I used Sell Similar to list each, only changing the photos and description/ condition for each as needed.
Any idea why eBay won't allow them to purchase it?

·9 months agoThere should be one of those on/off buttons under that last ebay insert thing about international:

OP9 months agoThere used to be, I remember seeing that awhile back, but I just checked on a few other listings that do show the Int'l countries list as allowed and some that do not, none of them have that On/Off toggle. That's why it seems strange that some listings are allowing it while others aren't, as there is no option, at least anywhere I see.
ETA: Under Selling> Shipping Policies, it shows that I am Enrolled in the eIS as it should, and has been since it rolled out.

OP9 months agoLooking now I see that, but if I try to revise listing, this is what it shows me:
The other listings I used Sell Similar for while listing these types of items (Listed 10-15 in a row) seem to be 75% showing International Countries they will ship to, while 25% are United States only. And I did not make any changes to the shipping portion when listing them. Odd.

Many of the listings for that item are US only.

Compare the shipping details of many of your items to this one, which DOES ship internationally. Click the the "ships to" countries:

OP9 months agoI did, and the ones I checked that show only United States on listing page, when I go to revise them, say that they will show to International Buyers as well.

·9 months agoIf that’s the item that can’t be shipped, my bet would be that it is because of the “Oil†in the title. That is a common reason items are restricted from eIS, since they won’t ship anything that might contain used motor oil.

·9 months agoThis is frequently the issue. The EIS filters can be excessively aggressive when it comes to blocking listings.

OP9 months agoInteresting, as most of them allow Int'l Shipping and they all have mostly the same titles. Must be one of those times where the eBay AI picks and chooses.

·9 months agoCould it possibly be weight or dimension related?

OP9 months agoI don't think so, I have Free Shipping so those fields would be blank as far as I am aware. I had within the past couple months a buyer buy, on 2 separate transactions, 5 items that were going international with no issues. And those were much larger/ heavier items than this, but again with Free Shipping on my end I don't input any weights/ dimensions.

·9 months agoOh! Okay...I apologize I thought it was all one transaction.
It does seem really off...
but that would have been my only guess

·9 months agoDoes your account have a limit on what a buyer can buy from you?
Can you give us the item number of the item he is trying to buy?
Did the buyer give you any information about what eBay says or does when he tries to buy the item?

OP9 months agoNo limits on quantity of items able to be purchased.
Item # 167996675357 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/167996675357)
Just the Buyer saying they bought the other 2 and asking why I can't send this one to Italy also (Roughly translated)
