Insertion Fee Charge= If you are under max allowed items based on plan

On June 10 I subscribed to the Basic Store account to get the 1000 items allowed to be listed at one time. I only have 334 items in my store, so not even near 1000 items. However, since I subscribed to the Basic Store I realized I continued to be charged an insertion fee for the renewal items. I reached out to customer services via chat and was told that eBay was aware that this was happening and that they were working on solving the problem. After a month I realized that it was still happening and called customer service. I checked my accounting today (after over a month and a half from initial contact) and the reversal of the insertion fees were back in my account- after chatting with them again. Warning to all- whether you have a store subscription or not- the max number of items you can have at 1 time is based on the type of account you have after that the renewal of items plus anything you add- if you go over that total it will cause insertion fees. If you are still under, reach out to customer service and report the problem if you are charged insertion fees. (example: you have the Basic Store and are allowed 1000 items but only have 334 items that include any renewal items and are charged renewal insertion fees) EBay needs to be aware of every situation. It will not fix itself.

·3 weeks agoMany of us already know this...but, even if you are that far away from your Limit, if you use the Second Category feature in your Listings, that will also generate/charge an automatic Insertion Fee every renewal regardless of your Free Allocation. Might want to check that.

OP3 weeks agoYes, you're correct. I wasn't. This was a known system glitch by eBay. I wanted to bring it up in the event anyone else experienced the same problems.
