One of the problems is the little Ebay Turbo Lister banner at the bottom, it's not on a secure server.

Bulk Active Content Scanner for eBay Listings

Try running your listings through this tool, developed by @shipscript, a well known, respected and reliable Community member.

If that specific tool doesn't come up with anything, there are a number of other tools on that site that may help.

I just ran a scan of your listings, and 99/101 lit up like a proverbial Christmas tree. I didn't investigate what the specific issues were, but there are problems with all but 27 of your listings.

Yes, I would if I were you. Otherwise, you're never going to find those bad listings.

101 of them had a "bad target" and 99 had SSL issues:

How unfortunate that all of the "insecure" information consists of old eBay taglines, specifically "Turbo Lister".

You should be able to highlight, from the Turbo logo to the end of the listing, and delete the offensive links. There are 99 listings with the issue.

There are two ways to approach it:

1) After running the scan, systematically click the REVISE button in each red row on both pages of the scan to open eBay's listing editor. Find the logo at the bottom of your listing and remove it. This is a one-by-one approach. A couple of the listings don't have Turbo Listerâ€”they have a link to another item. You can let those go because the "target" issue there is not serious.

2) or, run the Bulk active content editor to automatically change the "insecure" http:// to https:// on a copy of all of your affected listings (or to remove the Turbo Lister tagline entirely). The tool will create a spreadsheet of all of the revised descriptions. Upload that spreadsheet to eBay's Seller Hub to bulk repair your listings.

If you choose the latter, I'll be happy to walk you through the process.

Thanks for joining this conversation! I can't get a scan started! I've tried using jerry-at-usmilitaryart and @jerry-at-usmilitary art, and after each entry the "eBay Site" box will not accept an entry. If I click on the down arrow in that line, another blank box appears. This is very frustrating! It seems so simple but I must be doing something wrong.

It sounds like the tool has not loaded entirely. If using Edge, hold down the ctrl-key while reloading the page. If using Firefox, hold down the Shift-key while reloading the page. Or simply do it one way, and then the other way. This is called a "forced reload" which circumvents the browser cache (which may hold a broken page) and fetches new content from the web.

This is what you should see on the scanner. The droplist would allow selection of "US" as the site. If you have force-reloaded the page and the dropdown is still not there, then consider temporarily turning off your browser add-ons and reloading the tool. Add-ons may be interfering with the script that loads the dropdown list.

You may find this hard to believe, but I do see the drop-down list for every scan tool (Duplicate, Variation, Item Specifics, Acvtive Content Sanbox) but not Active Content Scanner on my computer. When I enter your URL on my iPad, however, it is there. BTW, you have an amazing website. The community is lucky to have you!

The dropdown script is the same for all the tools. Thus, the only thing I can surmise is that the page broke while loading and is cached/stored in your browser that way. It needs to be purged from your browser cache/storage. Since I don't know what browser you have, please try both methods for a hard-reload: hold down the ctrl-key and click the page reloader circle, and then hold down the shift-key and reload the page.

Chrome on Windows can also use Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R as a hard-reload of the page.

Chrome on Mac can use Cmd+Shift+R, or else Shift and use the "View" menu to select "Force Reload".

PLease excuse my ignorance, but I just tried using the Scanner but was unsuccessful in setting it up. Tried several entries for Seller Name but was not able to enter an eBay site name. Would you mind telling me what you used for these two entries?

Of course!

I used your member id (jerry-at-usmilitaryart) and selected the eBay site as "US." I think that's the first entry in the dropdown list, IIRC. Then click on "Start Scan."
